Best Friends for Life...

My Emily and My Amy
Best Friends for Life

I've tried to teach my children that their brothers and sisters are their best friends for life. Other friends drift in and out of our lives; but, our brothers and sisters are forever. I don't have that kind of relationship with my brothers. We were brought up in a broken home. One of the reasons I homeschool my children is that I want them to have that close loving friendship connection with their family when they grow up. Only time will tell; and, it is ultimately up to them. We shall see how it all comes out. I hope they will value each other.

God bless!
Laura

  2. What lovely girls Laura! I am sure they will be good friends. My sister and I fought like cats and dogs when we were growing up but are the best of friends now! Mind you we were very protective of each other from outsiders when we were growing up also.

  3. Laura,

Thanks so much for stopping by my Writing Nook and praying for my aunt. Your thoughtfulness and kind words are very much appreciated.

I am glad that your girls are close. My siblings and I only see each other on family holidays. We do talk occassionally on the phone, but we aren't close. My prayers are with your family.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  4. Thanks for writing this. Hopefully we will be close in the future. I hope so. But yup, we're just going to have to wait and see.

    1. Make a decision to make it happen. It's just like with God. Faith is now—before you get what you pray for. Love and friendship with your sister is all about faith. Believe now in faith that you have it now, and it won't end.

      Love,

Thank you so much for "talking back" to me!

I read all comments and appreciate them.
Please make sure I have your email if you want me to respond or pray for you.

God bless you! This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
