I've Been Sewing

I've been trying to make more time for one of my favorite activities.  My mother began teaching me to sew when I was about ten years old.  I would help her when she stretched out yards of fabric on our living room floor to pin and cut out a new blouse or a new dress.  Later, she allowed me to use her scraps and begin making little simple clothes for my dolls.  When I started using her sewing machine, I felt so grown up.

The image above shows one of the handbags that I have made.  I enjoy making every bag different.  It's time to put some more in my Etsy shop.  I hope you find some time to do something you enjoy this weekend.

  1. Isn't it so fun! My grandma taught me to sew, and I just love it, and for this season in my life, I'm at the sewing machine the majority of my day! :)

Have a wonderful day enjoying this beautiful spring weather and sunshine!
