Keep Calm and Keep Busy

“Go on with your work as usual,

for work is a blessed solace.”

~ Louisa May Alcott ~
Little Women

I've had the privilege of being home from the restaurant today.  I've been very busy since about 5:30 a.m.  Laundry has been my biggest task.  I told my daughter that I've been climbing Mount Neverest in the dungeon!  I've also washed dishes, prepared lunch with help from my daughter, run errands for my husband, checked a grammar test, and tried to do all that my family needs me to do.  I've had to neglect so many of my homemaking tasks to help my husband with his business.  I really appreciate the days when I can make home and family my focus.  Thank you God!

Autumn blessings,

  3. Praying you find the top of Mt Neverest and get out of the dungeon, Laura. :) Being a homeschooling momma, I totally empathize. I love the idea of "I am calling a 100." We try to do a 15 min. clean up when it gets so crowded that I can't take it. Somehow that gets everyone moving fast and we can get on with the rest of the day.

  8. Home is a haven! After a day in town I am exhausted and can't wait for home sweet home! Try and rest up dearie for at least 20 minutes (with your feet up) to keep up your health and spirits. And thank you for squeezing in some time to link to the Art of Home-Making Mondays among it all :)

  9. Hi Jes,
My kids have been gone since Tuesday. I thought I'd get so much done, but I had to work extra hours. Oh well, they come back tomorrow. I may nix the to do list and relax tonight!
