What Jack's Mother Didn't Tell Me

I've decided to come clean... to answer the question of how my 6'3 fifteen year-old son, Michael, grew so tall.

I'm sure you've heard the story of Jack.  Well, Jack's mother didn't actually throw the beans out the window.  She sold them to me.  Thinking they were normal everyday pinto beans, I made some delicious refried beans, and Michael ate too many burritos!

If I ever see Jack's mother again, I'm going to send her a bill for all those jeans he outgrew!

Blessings to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

  1. Home grown is what I like to call it :)
Out soon is so tall and skinny but eats like he hasn't eaten in days instead of hours. These Ozark boys I guess.

  2. Hi Joyful,
You said, "these Ozarks boys" and I thought of Lil' Abner and Jethro!
Have a wonderful weekend. I'll be over for a visit soon.

  3. I Laura. That's a big'un you've got there! My brothers were both that tall too. I'm 5'5", but probably a tad shorter since I had hip replacement last December. LOL Anyway, nice blog. I'm so glad you stopped in at Cranberry Morning to introduce yourself. Have a wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow!

  9. Your son must be great to have around, you wouldn't have to climb a ladder to reach anything. I am 5'2" and I need a ladder for everything if my husband and son aren't around. Thanks for sharing this great post at Good Morning Mondays. Blessings

  11. He is handy to have around, Terri. He is almost to the point where he'll have to duck to get through our doorways!
