We watched these films on our computer.
  • Mandie and the Secret Tunnel
  • Dragons or Dinosaurs
  • Search for Noah's Ark
My thoughts:
  • Easy to register
  • Easy to use
  • Nice variety of family friendly content available
  • Intuitive use for this non-tech savvy mom
  • There are movies that I'd like to watch as a family and with my husband.
  • There were sections in each movie that we watched that were pixelated in spots like a scratched DVD.  After contacting Customer Service, I believe my computer needs some adjustments. They sent instructions that I'm going to ask my husband to help me with. (I'm not tech savvy.)
  • The response time was quick.
My teens gave their opinions:
  • Their goal is a good goal.
  • They need to work on buying mainstream movies like Pure Flix, Sherwood Films, Provident, Fox Faith, Affirm Films, and Alex Kendrick. (I agree.)
  • They had some documentaries I hadn't seen anywhere else.
  • The quality is not very good. The movies we watched were pixelated. (See note above, it was our computer's problem.)
  • The selection is poor (from a teen's viewpoint).
  • It's hard to use because you can't pause and play on full-screen.
  • It's a nice idea, but it needs more development.
  • There's not a clear sign in button. You have to go to sign up page to sign in.
  • They had all the Mandie movies. Yay!
My conclusion:
All-in-all, I think this site gives good value for the low price of $4.99 a month. It's a thrifty option for family entertainment. I expect both the selection will improve. You can try it, and decide for yourself for free! Everyone can have a two week free trial. One lucky person can win a 6 month subscription below.

  1. Laura,

It sounds like it's well worth the price. I'm always looking for "family friendly fare" for my grandchildren.

Thanks for linking up on Mondays @ Soul Survival.

  2. We are avid movie watchers here. As Aussies though, I don't think we have this option, but how wonderful for you to have such easy access to entertainment. And at such a bargain price! Thankyou for sharing this at Five Star Frugal. Mimi xxx

  3. We get most of our family video options from the public library... and they do have some Christian ones... this sounds like a great resource, though, for a much better selection. :)

  4. That's great Gentle Joy. Frugal is best.

  5. We like watching good clean movies that teach values and we also love watching our grandkids play soccer on the weekends.

  6. Good things to watch Ellen. Thanks for talking back!

  7. This sounds like a great idea (and a great deal!) however, we can't do streaming :( Our internet is really not great and it is hard to even watch you-tube videos.

P.S. Thank you for sharing on the Art of Home-Making Mondays this week Laura!

I read all the comments I receive. I answer as many as I can.

Right now, I'm dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy. Please understand if I don't answer. This is all new to me.

I treasure your prayers and your comments.

Be blessed!
