When Calls The Heart Season Premiere Season 2

I have enjoyed the When Calls the Heart series so much! I was excited to have the opportunity to preview the two hour season premiere. Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing are magnificent together as Jack and Elizabeth. He's a down-to-earth Canadian Mountie. She's a upper crust society girl who came to the town of Coal Valley to teach. Watching her learn to live in this whole new world has been endearing and amusing at times. Watching the two of them grow to like each other more and more has been fun and refreshing. I've had the benefit of seeing all of the first season. This series is a family favorite. My girls have really enjoyed the videos. They were so excited to hear that Hallmark is making it for a second season. This one has developments that may turn the town upside down. ~smile~
It appears that this season is going to be full of surprises. In this episode alone...
  • Someone confesses.
  • Someone ingratiates.
  • Someone irritates.
  • Someone breaks the law.
  • Someone startles.
  • Someone surprises.
  • Someone makes a right choice.
  • Someone is fearful.
  • Someone does something stupid.
  • Someone is rude.
  • Someone is conspiratorial.
  • Someone blackmails.
  • Someone lies.
"They've got to make a new one!"
- Amy upon watching the ending. Actually, I think that one of us says that after every episode!

Clear your calendars for
Saturday April 25th ladies.
It's on the Hallmark channel.
This one is worth watching!

About the series:

The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal mining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman’s career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a turn of the century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.

  10. Our favorite family activity has always been camping. The best part of camping is sitting around the bonfire roasting food, and singing, telling stories of days gone by, and just enjoying each other's company. I enjoyed your sharing of the preview of this movie series. We don't have TV service, so can't watch it on Saturday, but maybe, just maybe we could win the DVDs. Have a blessed day Laura!
