Mercy Me It's Christmas CD

Mercy Me It's Christmas CD
Thank you FlyBy for this review copy.
~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm a rather old-fashioned, traditional gal when it comes to Christmas music. No one rocks Christmas music like Bing Crosby to this old girl's nostalgic ears. ~smile~ So, when I first heard some of the new songs on It's Christmas, they didn't scream Christmas to me. The new arrangements of old favorites fell a little more friendly on my ears.
In an effort to be diplomatic and a little less Grinchy, I've been listening to it over and over. It's growing on me. Christmas Time Again is actually kind of catchy. Newborn is performed in a modern worship style. I think I'm going to cling a little longer to Christmas past and enjoy the old classics with their updated arrangements. Just Hear Those Sleigh Bells Ringing... ' cause I'll be Home for Christmas!
  1. My favorite Christmas music is the old classics. My parents had a collector set of records, and we would listen to song after song
  7. I enjoy listening to Older Christmas songs and learning how they were written to the Modern songs of Today . The older ones took some creativity . Like the ones written by Burl Ives who was Jewish . It was interesting how he wrote the songs . I like White Christmas and also the Blue Christmas one. THen the funny songs like Grandma got run over by a reindeer or the other funny ones like I saw mommy Kissing Santa Clause .
