Thy Thoughts Shall Be Established

While I've been a busy bee this week,
my heart has been reaching to God.

Lots of praying going on...

♥ for my friend Ellen who had a stroke and emergency brain surgery
on Monday and is fighting bacterial meningitis...

♥ for my friend Cheryl's niece Kristen
who is expecting a baby and has a
blood clot in her lung and heart troubles...

♥ for protection in storms...

♥ for loved ones to turn to Jesus...

♥ for my friends' children
who are in trouble and need Jesus...

♥ for the families of two babies
who died in the womb this week.

I've been pleading the Blood of Jesus
over all the situations.
What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.

What are you praying for?

God bless you all.
May you find peace
and hope in our God and Savior
Jesus Christ.

Update on Ellen from her husband March 11, 2017 6:30 p.m.
She stood up today and is speaking in sentences, and her left side is much less paralysed, her blood pressure is down, and soon she will be transferred out of ICU.
The bacterial meningitis is still there but she is no longer contagious. She is still on heavy antibiotics. There is flap in her throat that closes off her airway when swallowing it is partially paralysed so she is struggling but she is working very hard and is improving little bit at a time. Her brain seems to be healing OK but it will take several months to know how much recovery she will have.

Update on Ellen March 21, 2017 7:26 p.m.
God is so good! Ellen was able to send me a text the other day. Whether she typed it or not, I don't know. I feel like she is coming back from the dead—again. She has been transferred to a rehabilitation hospital. Thank you for your prayers for her. She has a long way to go, but she is improving. Bless God!

Update on Ellen March 21, 2017
She is still struggling with use of her left side. She cannot stand on her own. She fatigues extremely easy, at end of the day she cannot even feed herself and sometimes at lunch she gets tired also. She has been running a 103 degree fever and it took the hospital 3 days to find out it was a bladder infection. She has pressure sores on her heels (bed sores). We were going to cut her hair but she did not want bangs so we are going to have to just comb it out, it is all tangled and matted.

Brain injuries are extremely complex and they saved her life by doing the surgery as an emergency procedure.

Thank you to those who are praying for Laurie's husband, Tommy, who had pneumonia. He is doing much better and sent her thanks. He continues to have problems because of asbestos in his body and will be having further testing.

    1. Father God, I thank you for your love and care for us. I ask that you will pour your healing power into Mrs. Chrissy T's granny and into her daughter. Flood them with the power of your love through the Blood of Jesus Your Son who died for them. Fill them with resurrection power. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

  2. I love this verse..."thy thoughts shall be established"...I needed this. Thank you SO much for your prayers for so many and for continuing to intercede and include my dear niece in those prayers. You are a dear blessing to us all. I am praying for Ellen and looking to God to see her through.

    1. You're welcome.
Ellen's husband shared a photo of Ellen this afternoon. She is off the ventilator. He said she has a small headache the size of Texas. She won't request pain medicine until she's at a 10 pain level. She doesn't like how pain medicine makes her feel. So, I guess she is asserting her will. I wish they'd give it to her anyway! Still praying for the other problems and swelling, too.

  3. So many sad and sorrowful situations around us. Truly prayers and knowing the blood of Jesus is there for our healing is so comforting. Believing too that the Lord will do miracles in the lives of those who are hurting. I always say an impossibility is a requirement for a miracle to take place! Hugs to you dear friend, keep praying, keep believing, the Lord is able to do above all that we ask of HIM!

  4. Hello Mrs. Laura,

You know, I've found that when I turn my focus toward others in prayer, my own "problems" don't seem as great. Thanks for sharing your prayer list, I hope it encourages others to pray for their friends and loved ones.

    Blessings,
    Mrs.B
