What is Marriage?

True committed love always...
even through
4 years going steady,
1 year of engagement,
32 years of marriage,
25 jobs,
4 businesses,
14 deaths,
4 children,
26 years of homeschooling,
19 chickens,
4 cats,
3 dogs,
1 goat,
8 churches,
8 homes,
16 surgeries,
cancer,
chemo,
and radiation.

Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Lane
until death parts us.

THIS is marriage...
never wondering if you will face tomorrow alone...
until one of you steps into eternity.

Happy Anniversary Lowell!

Thank you!

Love,
Wednesday

  2. Happy Anniversary to you both! That's quite a marriage resume. We just celebrated our 21st on the 9th, but we started late at 47 and 50...proof love can find you at any age.

:P To be honest, I have no idea how many chickens we have had. A lot, though.

  10. Happy Anniversary! I've often thought that if our vows specifically included what life throws at us (do you promise to drive him to chemo, to dress wounds after surgery, etc.), we would be scared away from getting married. But when we commit to a lifetime together, we simply must face each experience as it comes. We do things we never thought we were capable of. There is no 'I' only 'we'. ;-)

  11. Happy Anniversary to you both! I love the stats and it made me think of our own. We have been married over 40 years and though sometimes it feels like a lifetime most of the time is doesn't feel like much more than a few years ago. Still we are more of a team now than we were when we were young, good times and not so good times!

God bless you! This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
