Ben Carson Speaks

This is not a political blog. I am, however, a Christian and a patriotic American. I have heard Dr. Carson speak in person. I've watched him in the Republican Debate. I've watched his life story. He is a Christian man of wisdom and integrity. He is a calm thinker. I think those are excellent characteristics for a president. I believe he is one of the best presidential candidates.

Enjoy this recent video he made.

Our future is in God's hands. But—He's depending on Christians to do their best to consider the candidates and to VOTE.

God bless America!

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

  1. I LOVE him also but if he were President, he'd mandate all vaccinations for children which was very disappointing to me.

  2. "2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

That's the key. It doesn't even require everyone do something, just "my people."

I like him too! He could win. Trump could win. Our country is hard to predict these days! Used to be you could kind of guess what would happen. Not anymore! Sanders could win. The only one that would surprise me at this point is Hillary winning!

  3. Hi Lori,
I understand what you mean. Unfortunately, we won't find someone with whom we agree 100%.

  4. This is exactly what my husband told me. I did love the debate the other night. It was SO refreshing. So many fighting against abortion and openly pro-life and even mentioning the Lord's name!

  5. Thanks for sharing! My husband and I were impressed with Dr. Carson during the debate.

  6. Laura,
I think Ben Carson would be a wonderful president, I am for him all the way..
He is a Christian and that is the main thing.. but he also, is very smart and calm..Just love his story.. His mom was a remarkable lady to raise her boys the way she did.
Have you seen the movie about him and him becoming a surgeon? It is wonderful.. and
he was on some show, and he said, it was pretty real to life true..
Has my vote all the way.. My prayer is that God be with him ..
Thanks for sharing on your blog. Judy

  7. I don't know much about American politics, but a man who is openly Christian and showing the fruits of it would be a great change. Ben Carson sounds like he would fit the bill. Blessings, Glenys

  8. It's also campaign season here. I hope the deserving ones win.

  9. We like him--unfort...the Repub./Reince Priebus gang are hoping/pushing for another Bush...I think this election cycle will be a very long one...Blessings sweet friend.

  10. Oh, dear friend! This is all so heavy upon my heart! So much I could say here, but I agree that Dr. Carson would make an amazing president. I also love Mike Huckabee. There are several I would vote for, but the main thing is that we follow the 4 steps listed in 2 Chronicles 7:14. It is truly our only hope for redemption. And, YES, we need to shake off our lethargy, seek God about who to vote for, and GET OUT AND VOTE!!! One of the reasons we are where we are is because Christians have been so passive and refused to be proactive in the past. We can only hope and pray that things will be different in 2016 and do our individual part to make that difference. God bless you for getting word out! We cannot afford to keep our faith and politics separated any longer.

  11. I love Dr Ben Carson, it would be so wonderful to have him as President. Our country needs a christian president, someone who will stand up for what is right and what this country was founded on. I think he is a honest and very smart man. I would be honored to call him President. I read a book about him and he came from poverty, his life confirms that the American dream can be real. Hugs, Lecia

  12. Neither God, the Founding Fathers, nor the Constitution ever expected us to keep politics and faith separated. (That's funny sounding.)

    It's time we stand up.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply, Cheryl.

  13. We shall see, Linda. When God gets in the mix, things can turn out in surprising ways! There are some very good God fearing candidates this time.

  14. You are SO right. Where did we get the idea that we had to separate them? It is because of this delusion that we have handed over the elections to those who are totally opposite in their thinking and beliefs.

You are such a dear blessing, Laura. So thankful to walk this blogging path with you. And I am still praying faithfully for you big request, believing God to intervene and work it out for you.

Gotta head off to Bible study…have a great evening!

  15. Yes, Judy. I've seen the movie and heard him speak at a Life Choices banquet. I have full confidence in him. There are some good God fearing candidates this time. I have been watching Mike Huckabee, too.

  16. Yes, I think he can offer hope to Americans on many levels. Honesty would be refreshing, would it not? Blessings to you, Lecia!

  17. Dr. Ben Carson would be the best thing that ever happened to America. The wisdom he has and the strength to stand his ground -- plus his great faith -- is God's gift to us all. I am voting for him, for sure. I think Donald Trump serves to bring lots of attention to the group but Ben Carson is the guy!

  18. I need to familiarize myself with him more. I've got to do a bit of studying about all of these candidates! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  19. I agree Jann. We watched the Republican debate, and there were some good prospects.
    Have a wonderful week ending!
