WHAT IF JESUS HAD NEVER BEEN BORN?

Have you ever thought about that question? I know that my life would be completely different. Completely. 

I can remember as a young child my mom singing four different lullabies to me. Silent Night and Away in the Manger were two of the four. That is my first memory of Jesus being spoken over me. 

I was told that I was sprinkled in the Catholic church as a baby, because my dad's family was Catholic. I wasn't raised in a Christian home, but there were still exposures along the way. I think my mom knew of God and Jesus, but He wasn't really part of our life as far as I knew. 

I did go to a Bible club at school for a little while when I was in first grade. There I confessed my sin of hitting my little brother and asked Jesus into my heart after watching flannel graph stories. God bless the ladies who lead that class. 

Later, I remember going to at least one vacation Bible school at the church across the street from my elementary school. More flannel graph stories and songs.

My parents divorced, and I remember visiting a church a couple of times as a kid when someone invited my mom. It was scary, because the preacher seemed to read my mind from the pulpit!

Eventually, my life was changed radically while watching Jim Bakker interview a former drug addict on the PTL club January 1, 1980. I figured if Jesus could save her, surely he could save me. When I went back to school, I asked my friend Kim to take me to church. She was shocked, but I was in church every Sunday after that. I was baptized, and the rest is history. 

Jesus began changing me and my life from the inside out. I became a completely different person. One that loves God and loves others. One who has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and is learning to walk in His ways.

BUT... WHAT IF JESUS HAD NEVER BEEN BORN?

God only knows where I'd be or what I'd be doing.

And that's just me.
