About FORTY-SEVEN DAYS WITH JESUS

When the Burdons attend a reunion at Poppa and Nonna’s ranch, they realize just how disconnected their family has become. Facing marital hiccups, teenaged angst and Poppa's health hurdles, the adults decide to share Poppa's enchanting ‘Forty-Seven Days’ story with the kids, transporting us back in time to see the miracles of Jesus' final 47 days on Earth.

Synopsis: A disconnected family finds hope and unity through a cinematic retelling of Jesus’ final 47 days on Earth. Starring Yoshi Barrigas and Catherine Lidstone from The Chosen and featuring unforgettable original music, FORTY-SEVEN DAYS WITH JESUS brings the Easter story to life and reminds us of The Gospel’s enduring impact.

MY THOUGHTS:

I think that the film does a nice job of relating the truths of faith and forgiveness into a modern day scenario. The acting was excellent. Every actor and actress was very believable. They are very talented.

I think that the writers did a good job of weaving the story of Jesus' last days into the modern storyline.

The scenery is beautiful in the modern day, and the sets and props were very well done in the Bible portion. The music was of mixed genres. Some of the selections were very well done. I did have a little trouble reconciling Bible days with modern music.

A lot of creative license is taken in the Bible scenes, but the film makers indicated that they were going to do this at the very beginning of the show. They also encouraged viewers to read the New Testament for themselves.

This is a good family film; however, depending on the ages of your children, you may want to give them some additional teaching to make sure that they understand.
