Hope for the Future... Shhh! Don't Tell!

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE!

Shhh!  Don't tell my friend Joyce!

I put up my first Autumn decoration yesterday... an Autumn wreath.

She always beats me in getting up the Autumn decorations.  I'm usually a mid to late September decorator; but, this year I got a small jump on it.  Mind you, it will be a few weeks before I really decorate.  I want to get through birthday season first.  My three youngest have birthdays between August 20th and September 12th. (Reminder Dad!)  That's my end of summer.  Then, it will be time for Autumn and Harvest and Holiday preparations including yet another birthday-- my Honey's!

More Good News! Who Knew?

My camera's working now!  I'll be able to add photos to my blog again.  We've had this camera for about three years.  It's our first digital camera.  When we purchased it, we also purchased rechargable batteries and a charger.  Well, for the last few months, even after the batteries were charged, it would say change batteries.  We bought new regular batteries; but, it did the same thing with new batteries.  A couple of weeks ago, as I was preparing to try yet another set of new batteries, I pushed a little button I hadn't seen before.  Out popped a little watch type battery!  I'd found the culpret.  I went to a battery store and had a new little battery put in it.  I went home all excited.  I put in two new AA batteries and prepared to start shooting...not!  The little change battery light went on...again...with all new batteries.  I told my husband it was broken.  Lowell to the rescue.  He knows that I'm technologically impared...yes, impared, not delayed...unless you count delayed by about thirty years.  He assumed I put the batteries in wrong.  Nope.  He decided we needed new batteries...rechargeable batteries.  I hadn't thought of that.  He came home last night, charged the new batteries to capacity, and we're ready to go....

Who knew?

We bought a little air conditioner for our bedroom!

We have a place to escape from the heat.  It's a little crowded at bedtime; but, the kids don't mind sleeping on the floor to keep cool.  Thank you God!

Hope you have found a cool spot to get some relief, too.
