Update 2/28/16:
Well, I didn't finish it. I did, however, do more than I would have if I hadn't made the list to begin with! Maybe next year. If it snows, I may pull this list out again!

Hi Laura, looks like a good list.
ReplyDeleteI put up a small white tree with winter decorations. It really looks cozy and my husband is enjoying it too.
Happy winter to you!
Mrs. Laura,
ReplyDeleteI simply love this list. I never thought to do such. What a great idea. I love all the things you aspire to do.
Blessings!
Now that is a wonderful, cozy list!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!!!
Oh, how I hear you on a short shoestring budget....so, have you got the house decorated for January yet? Have a beautiful Friday, friend.
ReplyDeleteLove your bucket list.. Sounds like some wonderful evenings at your home..
ReplyDeleteDo you decorate a tree for each month??? The snow men tree sounds so pretty, I love snowmen..
Have a blessed day.
Thanks, Mrs. Chrissy. You should make a list, too! Short or long, it will give you ideas for those times you want something fun or productive to do.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Laura
Thanks Billie Jo. I hope you have a very pleasant weekend. I'll drop by for a visit in a minute.
ReplyDeleteLaura
Love your list! What fun you will have ticking these items off of the list. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful list, I hope you get to do it all.
ReplyDeleteI like the phrase "shoestring", I read that on an English blog. It sounds like it might try to unravel, but if you tie it tight, it will hold. Love holds things together.
Good morning Laura,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list of happy things! I especially like Invite Friends for Soup and Bread - simple, tasty, cozy activity.
Make sure to take that time to gaze into the fire and read your book.
Have a beautiful Saturday,
♥Hope
Funny that you should say that, Annie. I had a pair of tennis shoes once that I had lace trouble with. The left shoelace always came untied. I finally paid close attention and saw that I was tying it differently. I made the adjustment, then all was well. Why am I telling you this? I have no idea. ~smile~
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Laura
Hi Judy,
ReplyDeleteWe put the big tree away the first week of January. Some years I put up my little tree and put snowflakes and snowmen and silver balls on it.
Come February, I'll put on some red balls and whatever Valentines ornaments didn't get ruined.
It's looking sparse right now. I need to get crafty and make some more snowmen!
Blessings!
Laura
We worked on giving it a good cleaning today, Linda. I've got one more little box of decorations to put out. The tree looks a bit sparse, so I need to make some more snowmen decorations.
ReplyDeleteHave a relaxing day Linda!
Laura
What a fun list. Sounds like a great way to enjoy the winter!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to keep things simple, isn't it Hope. We have friends coming after church for Wicked White Chili from the new Trim Healthy Mama cookbook. We tried it a couple of weeks ago. It's not really wicked, it's just what the author's son called it when he tasted it. Wicked good!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Laura
Aren't lists wonderful! Just love the fun ideas you shared for doing this winter, and do hope you get to do most of them! Your chili sounds delicious, winter is such a great season for warm hearty soups! Enjoy, and have a blessed day! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Spicing Up,
ReplyDeleteWe had Wicked White Chili from the new Trim Healthy Mama cookbook with friends today. It's good to start the new year with hospitality!
Blessings,
Laura
Laura, Your thought process and goals are so inspiring! And so full of home. I absolutely love your winter bucket list, involving things that matter, ways to use your hands and bless others; ways to recharge and relax; ways to enjoy all the blessings God has given you.
ReplyDeleteI always leave here so blessed. Your blog is such a sweet respite. :-)
Thanks Karen. I am honored. I just came out of a season when I was required to be out of my home for hours most days. I am so thankful to be a stay at home mom again.
ReplyDeleteI'm making good process on my list. I think I want to get some paint for my little cart next. Maybe next weekend....
I'll be over for a visit to your blog in a few minutes.
Be blessed and be aware of your blessings. Life is precious and short.

I always feel so boxed in in winter, but a winter bucket list sounds like a way to make the cold, snowy, windy months go by painlessly. Thanks for the inspiration. Thanks for sharing at My Flagstaff Home!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
I'm hoping it will help me. I'm also hoping for our first snow in the next day or two!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you Jennifer, I always enjoy seeing what you've been up to at your house.
Laura
Always great to write out your list and check things off! You reminded me I need to make chili soon!

ReplyDeleteI'm working on it Angelina. I won't finish it all, but I know I will get more done than if I hadn't had a list at all! I'll be over for a visit in just a bit.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
