HOPE FOR THE FUTURE!

I put up my first Autumn decoration yesterday... an Autumn wreath.

She always beats me in getting up the Autumn decorations.  I'm usually a mid to late September decorator; but, this year I got a small jump on it.  Mind you, it will be a few weeks before I really decorate.  I want to get through birthday season first.  My three youngest have birthdays between August 20th and September 12th. (Reminder Dad!)  That's my end of summer.  Then, it will be time for Autumn and Harvest and Holiday preparations including yet another birthday-- my Honey's!

    Also, I love that you have your wreath up. I can't wait for Autumn, I think in a few weeks I will be putting out a few things as well. Take Care.

Hello my dear readers and friends, You've no doubt noticed a change in my blog over the last few weeks and seen hints of health troubles and tests. This is the post I've been avoiding. My Spicy Can Opener Soup was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas!

Just had to share this with you again.   My recipe was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas! I have to admit, I was truly surprised when I received a letter from Gooseberry Patch requesting permission to use my recipe in their newest Christmas cookbook.  I've sent in some more complicated recipes, but this one is easy peasy! It's truly a recipe that I threw together using items from my nearly bare kitchen cupboards last winter. I called it Spicy Can Opener Soup.  They changed the name, but the ingredients remain the same.   I was thrilled to receive my very own copy of the book .  Of course, I had to make it up and take some photos to share with you dear ladies. I'm a big city girl gone small town girl gone country and finally gone back to small town. I live in southern Missouri between Oz and the Ozarks.  I have four children. My daughters live at home. My twenty-four year old daughter is finishing her master's degree through online university, and my 20 year old daughter goes to Christian college. My sons live on their own nearby. The 22 year old son and my 31 year old sons live nearby. I homeschooled all of my children from the beginning through high school. My eldest son went to high school for a year and a half.
