Pay the Taxes or Pay the Rent?

You know and I know that taxes are way too high; and, so is the national debt.  I don't debate that.  I do not, however, get angry or upset about paying our taxes.  Why?

  • I see paying our taxes a little differently.
  • I see paying our federal taxes as paying rent to live in the most wonderful country in the world.
  • Rent to have freedom like nowhere else.
  • Freedom to make choices that contradict popular opinion.
  • Freedom to worship my God and my Lord Jesus Christ in the way I choose.
  • Sold out to Jesus and not hiding it...that's worth the price in itself.

  3. Very good thing to remember. I’ve always been patriotic but have been feeling very unhappy with current political things happening.
But even with it’s flaws, the USA is still the best country ever and I’ll be praying it stays that way.

    Thank you Laura ❤️

  4. I kind of see it the same way. Now if the govt. would quit abusing our tax dollars and spend them on OUR country I would feel better!!

    1. Me too, Cheryl. We definitely need more patriots and statesmen and pro-America people in office.

  9. Great perspective. I always remind myself that we would not be paying taxes if we had not made money - that makes it easier.

Thanks for writing me back!

This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
