Carpe Diem ~ Seize the Day

Carpe Diem ~ Seize the Day

This is it.
This day.
 It's all we have.
No promise of tomorrow.
Will you find joy in this day?
Look for it.
 It's there.
Perhaps hiding under the surface.
Search for it like treasure.

Nehemiah 8:10
"Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord.  Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

May I suggest?

  2. So very true. We need to make the most of every day because we have no guarantee of tomorrow! And I love that Latin phrase, by the way. I always have.

    Have a great weekend, Laura!

Thanks again for participating in Faithful Friday!

  5. Laura....A few years ago I changed my life's motto to "Seize the moment." I believe it has definitely made me appreciate today even in its unexpectant events whether tough or joy-filled. Thank you for sharing your post at Monday's Musings.

Thank you so much for "talking back" to me!

I read all comments and appreciate them.
Please make sure I have your email if you want me to respond or pray for you.

God bless you! This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
