My favorite thing this week was…
Wow, it was a great week. It's hard to choose one thing. I think I enjoyed getting my dress cut out and putting up food for winter.
What’s working for us…
Ah, things are a bit spontaneous around here right now. I don't really have anything to report.
Things I’m working on…
Cutting out my next dress. I recently finished one and altered one. I'm trying to update my rather sparse wardrobe with my sewing skills. Unfortunately, my sewing machine is very ill. She's been to one doctor who couldn't help. My friend Lisa's husband has her this week to see if he can cure her paralysis. If not, I have to decide whether to take her to a specialist in Springfield an hour away.

Yay for getting a couple of dresses cut out, Laura. I have several things that have been cut out..and have been paptiently waiting to be sewn up. Maybe this week?? I hope you can get your sewing machine "cured" {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteHello Laura, I've come over from The Quiet Home to learn about your life...cutting out dresses, now that takes me back totally to the 60's (yes, I'm old!) when I used to dressmake for myself - you know what, nothing turned out the way I wanted it...so I stopped after many years. We have very limited fabric shops now....there is only one in the whole of Northern Ireland who have any sort of good fabric...not like your wonderful stores. However....I will be back to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and yours, and praying for rain for your farmers...oh, my, we could send yo some as our summer is a washout..although we are thankful for some degree of warmth we cannot trust one day to be without rain...what a change from the U.S.
In Him
Joyce
