Monday in my Cottage... A Little Busyness

Dirty laundry... everybody's got it!
It's been a busy Monday in my little cottage.  Homeschooling and homemaking has perks.

A little Bible reading...  I've listened to Hebrews chapters 1 through 10 so far today. I also looked up some scriptures in Ezekiel and Jeremiah.
A little reading... I'm reading Blood Moons Rising by Mark Hitchcock.

A little cleaning...  Today just some general clean up and a couple 100's. That's a story for another day.
A little laundry...  Just coming off a week of go go going!  Time to catch up.
A little baking with my Amy...

A little spelling...

A little history...
 A little cake decorating practice...
 A little birdy...
 A little knifemaking...

A little book sorting and organizing...
  A little writing...
A little E-mail...  It's a great way to keep in touch.
A little blog linking... I link posts with these blog hops on weekdays.
A little keeping the home fire burning...

  3. Don't you just love homeschooling?!

I do! It just keeps everything flowing and it's amazing what they all learn by the end of today. And it looks to me like your kids did a lot of cool stuff through out the day. Did your daughter take a class on cake decorating or did you teach her? That birdy is way cute!

My oldest son makes knives too. He has learned so much all ready. He makes them with old heavy duty files. He's in the process of attaching an elk antler to one of his finished knives. I can't wait to see how it turns out, until then he won't let me see it. :) It's Top Secret he tells me. Too funny!

I hope you have a lovely week Laura!

    Blessings ans Hugs,
    Amy

PS.. Thanks for adding me to your sidebar! You are a blessing! :)

  4. Hi Amy,
Emily,16, and Amy, 12, are taking a cake decorating class through 4H. Michael, 14, has been making knives on his own since last summer. He has used bones and pieces of antlers that he's found in the woods for handles, too. He has also used strips of wood that he affixes on either side of the knife shaft. He even used a wooden ruler! I love how creative homeschooled kids can be.
The best part is that they don't know they can't do things. They haven't had the ridicule and peer pressure that tells them that they are "less than" or "incapable" or that things are impossible. Just think what you and I could do if we'd had that advantage. ~smile~
I'll be over for a visit to your wonderful blog in a few minutes. I do pray that God will send you a gentle soaking rain in the natural and in the spiritual.
    Blessings,
    Laura

  10. It seems like some days are more productive than others, Jann. Today has been an errand day. Not productive at all (at least at home). ~smile~
