I am so happy to learn that you are doing well, And Hurrah! HALF WAY THERE!!! Rest whenever you are tired - it too is healing. I hope you sleep as well as that dog!!!! Praying for you every day. God Bless!
Half-way there...that is quite an accomplishment! God give you strength and courage to complete the 2nd half. Praying for you and believing with you for complete healing, in Jesus' name!
Thank you! It's coming. I receive it now. Praying for your m-i-l and for all of you. I am also praying that God will stop these relentless attacks the enemy is putting on your family and extended family. Also prayed for Kristen.
Let all your requests be made known to God. You need to be like Teflon and let the prayer requests slide through the pan of your prayers and onto Father, Son, and Holy Spirit's plate to make things right and bring healing physically, spiritually, socially, and financially.
What you are going through is very exhausting, just rest your body is telling you that. I wish I was close enough to help you with a meal or house work or just a good laugh.
Thanks so much! It's not the beginning of the end, but it does show the end of the beginning is drawing nigh. Surgery and radiation will finish out my year. I will be glad to get through chemo though.
I shall do my best. I'm making one of my family's favorite dinners tonight—Chili Verde. I'm going to start it this morning right after I wash the dishes—and the dog. She got into something this morning outside.
Enjoy your day! I started mine with listening to the Bible on YouVersion while I worked a few rows of a cotton hat I just put on the needles last night.
Oh, I want to rest... but the housework beckons! I'm going to work a little and rest a little and work a little and rest a little today. If I don't take advantage of my good days, I'll never get anything done!
This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
Hello my dear readers and friends, You've no doubt noticed a change in my blog over the last few weeks and seen hints of health troubles and tests. This is the post I've been avoiding. I just haven't been ready to identify with the problem nor am I sure I want to now. After all, God is the God of miracles. I need miracles, I'll bet you do, too. Here goes. I found a lump on April 22nd. It's been an earth shaker to me and my family for the last few weeks. This was the cause of the exhausting rounds of tests and appointments. Yes. It is breast cancer. It's in all the lumps in my left breast and in a lymph node. My mother and maternal aunt both had breast cancer many years ago. To answer a few questions you might have: The CT scan showed no cancer in the rest of my body. Praise God! The oncologist scheduled me for chemo first because it is an aggressive cancer. They want to shrink it first before surgery. I will also have mas...
Just had to share this with you again. My recipe was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas! I have to admit, I was truly surprised when I received a letter from Gooseberry Patch requesting permission to use my recipe in their newest Christmas cookbook. I've sent in some more complicated recipes, but this one is easy peasy! It's truly a recipe that I threw together using items from my nearly bare kitchen cupboards last winter. I called it Spicy Can Opener Soup. They changed the name, but the ingredients remain the same. I was thrilled to receive my very own copy of the book . Of course, I had to make it up and take some photos to share with you dear ladies. It's simple, quick, and delicious. It's also one of those scrape the bowl clean recipes. It's just this simple. Spicy Can Opener Soup 1 can black beans 1 can Mexican corn with peppers 1 can Rotel type tomatoes w/chiles 1 package of Taco Seasoning Mix and simm...
I'm a big city girl gone small town girl gone country and finally gone back to small town. I live in southern Missouri between Oz and the Ozarks. I have four children. My daughters live at home. My twenty-four year old daughter is finishing her master's degree through online university, and my 20 year old daughter goes to Christian college. My sons live on their own nearby. The 22 year old son and my 31 year old sons live nearby. I homeschooled all of my children from the beginning through high school. My eldest son went to high school for a year and a half. I met my Jesus when I was fifteen, and my life has never been the same. I married my high school sweetheart almost thirty-six years ago. We started going steady my senior year of high school. You might say we're going steady permanently. ~smile~ We have a very big yellow tabby cat, Tiger. Think Garfield with a good attitude. He is actually bigger than our little Doxie mix, Penny. I enjoy writing, knit...
