Just Going Through... Encouragement for You and a Breast Cancer Update

Attention ladies...
It's a beautiful Autumn day outside...
sunshine, rain, wind, snow, cold, or heat,
it's all beautiful Novembery weather. Don't miss it!

~smile~

Remember, whatever you're going through, you're going through it. You're going to make it. Lean into God and His promises. Read his word and know that it's his letter directly to you.

I'm starting my next round of chemo treatments this morning. There's only one drug this time, though they may add an anti-nausea drug. This one is designed to starve off any stray cancer cells or cancer wannabe cells. I would ask you to pray for my heart that it will not be damaged and that I won't have side effects like before. I didn't realize that this was a chemo drug. I thought it was a hormone blocking drug. I am not looking forward to side effects. I am hoping that I will continue to feel good. Still, prayer and faith are more effective than hope.

Thank you for standing with me through this trial that I am going through.

Hope you have a lovely week!

Blessings,
Laura

  1. Prayers for healing and no side effects.
I'm not sure what drug you will be taking, but I took tamoxifen for 5-6 years without any major problems. Much easier than regular chemo or radiation.

    1. Thank you, Judy! I am doing better. My right side is healed pretty well, and I have full range of motion. My left side still has an area on the incision that has not healed. I see the doctor again on Friday. My range of motion on the left is taking longer since I had lymph nodes removed. I'll get there though.

      Bless you!
      Laura

P.S. Is there something specific you'd like me to pray for? I won't put it on the blog.

  14. Is it perception by any chance. I had it for one year, every three weeks. I happened to be allergic to it, so they gave it slowly and every three weeks so I wouldn't get another reaction. It was time consuming but nothing like chemo. Cheryl

    1. Thank you Linda. How are you feeling now?
I'm feeling much better. The incision is healing,
and the spot is only the size of a dime now.
I'm looking at radiation in January now because
of a change in our insurance providers.
Hugs and love for the Christmas weekend.

  18. Just saw this, you know my prayers & my thoughts for you are on the merry-go-round. They are never ending, they are just there.
I'm sorry the chemo thing threw you, I know it wasn't an easy to agree to another round. You trusted your doctors, I myself have prayed for their decisions and the ability and knowledge to make the rite 1's. I still have that faith in them.
I still believe the God's got this. I've told you, I don't know what message is getting thru where its needed, but I believe this is being used for a reason.
My thoughts & prayers continue, hold strong, just pray & hold strong, we are all here!
