    1. Yes, it's all process, isn't it Anne? There are so many things I love about fall. I've been invited to a bonfire tonight, but it's pouring rain, so I don't think the fire's going to happen! Still we'll enjoy the evening together.

    1. I've planned a Christmas party for the 25 of Sept, October, and November at church. I'm inviting ladies to bring anything they want to work on whether it be a gift they are making, a Christmas list, Christmas cards, organizing something, whatever they want to do. I will play Christmas music, and we will all enjoy some visiting while we get something done!

      Blessings to you friend Judy!

    2. Laura, I used to do a similar thing at my house, but just one day. I'd have a holiday open house, but for girls. From 10-6. I'd make drinks, a crock pot of chili, desserts, & snacks. Then I set up tables for different things. Wrapping, paper crafts, pots and little plants, etc. The ladies could come and go as they wished. It was definitely a favorite day of mine. I should start that again here in Kansas.

  5. What a lovely bucket list! So many wonderful things to do in fall, aren't there! I think my favorite is just enjoying the beautiful fall foliage, and next best, baking a pumpkin pie, with pumpkin grown in our garden :) Hugs to you today Laura, I pray you have a blessed fall and get to do most if not all of the things on your bucket list :)

    1. Thank you Spicing Up. We didn't grow pumpkins this year, but I do love fresh pumpkin pie. It's been awhile, I'll be over to visit in just a bit.

    1. I hope to get to do lots of it. I worked in the home yesterday, and today I was so tired I took a nap after church. I didn't get to the list at all. Oh well, it's still hot. I may get to finish something else on my summer list. I haven't taken it down quite yet.

  9. I always enjoy reading your seasonal bucket lists and this one did not disappoint! :-)

You just reminded me that the first day of Autumn is tomorrow!! And here I am sitting on my deck sweating in a sleeveless shirt! lol. We tend to have warmer weather last longer here in southern New England. I kinda like it actually.

May your Fall be blessed with all things autumnal! :-)

    1. Thank you Karen. I've been dewy all week. It's been in the '90's here in Southwest Missouri. I have hope for the future though! I may not get any more fall today than a cup of tea and a cinnamony candle, but I'm going to grasp it for all it's worth! Be blessed!

    1. Oh, I just love Christmas books, Mrs. Chrissy T. Since I'm a reviewer, I read them starting in September. I always enjoy them. I'll be posting a review for one this week.

  15. I love your list. I was thinking this morning that I should've bought some pumpkin last night so I could bake something with it. I kind of LOL about the listening to Christmas music, as a rule I don't listen to it until after Thanksgiving but my girls will listen to it before. I also like your last one about reading Little House In The Big Woods with your family. :)

  16. You're really making a dent in that list. I've enjoyed some pumpkin bread, candy corn, and my first bowl of soup. Oh, and pumpkin ice cream! It'll really feel like fall after my first pumpkin latte. But it has to be cool outside so the cup warms my cold hands.

  17. Love your bucket list! I'm a list person too so totally appreciate this in others. When you get a chance, you should pop by my online neck of the woods to say hi! :)

  18. I love your bucket list, I have so many things I want to do and so many I have accomplished. I'm going to create a bucket list and move over the accomplished things at the end of each month or quarter. Thanks for sharing with us.

  19. *Drink Eggnog* would be my first check off! Autumn is my favorite time of year, and as a seasonal bucket list, easiest to accomplish many items on the list over and over!

  20. Your list is wonderful and it looks like you are getting things marked off. I have several things on mine as well but the ones I'm most looking forward to are making apple pie filling for some Christmas gift baskets, finishing a rag rug I've been working little by little and a day trip to Cades Cove in the Great Smokey Mountains to enjoy the fall colors. Its such a beautiful, peaceful place! We usually take a picnic and unwind a bit. Hopefully we will mark this one off within the next week. Love reading your blog, you inspire me as a Christian home schooling momma! Blessings!

    1. What wonderful things you have planned Julie! I wish I could take that trip, too. It sounds wonderful. So does the apple pie filling. I used to make that years ago with my mom. Enjoy! I think I'm going to probably do some more volunteering and go to a friend's jewelry party, church on Sunday, then hopefully, a little rest!

You've encouraged me tonight with your kind words. Thank you!
Enjoy your weekend, and please come back and talk with me again!

  23. You have some great ideas. Sometime with the business of life, we forget to enjoy the seasons as they come and go. A bucket list is a great idea to appreciate the loveliness of everyday life.

    1. You're so right, Nancy. I've not done nearly as much as I'd like to on my list. My kids will all be home tonight to carve pumpkins! Yes, in November. We don't tie pumpkin carving to Halloween. We just have fun with it whenever it works for us. That means we'll be making some pumpkin seeds!
      Be blessed,
      Laura

    1. I feel like it's been slow going this Fall. I haven't done as much as I'd like. It's hard to feel like fall when the trees are so late in changing. We're still waiting for the full colors that usually come mid-October.

It's beginning to get cooler. That's nice.

Have a wonderful week Annie. I always love hearing from you!
      Blessings,
      Laura
