This is an excellent tutorial on baking a cake using a cake mix. Brittany explains how to add ingredients to improve the taste and texture, and how to prepare layers and frost with buttercream icing. I've been baking for 35 years and didn't know all these tips. Oops! Now you know I've a few gray hairs!
I'm adding a cake mix to my grocery list!

Is there supposed to be a link or am I missing something?
ReplyDeleteWow, Laura! I didn't know all of that either. Probably the only things mentioned that I actually already do is the not mixing so much and setting the timer for the least amount of time mentioned. The first one I do just because I probably get impatient and the next one is just habit because I'm afraid something will burn! How interesting! I saved this site so I could refer back. Makes me want to go buy a cake mix now! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Have a great day!

Hi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteI actually beat my cake mix extra long thinking that it would make it a fluffier cake.
Oops!
