"Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic?" Phil. 2:1
I think that having friends is one of God's most loving ways of giving us encouragement. Friends can give a listening ear, a word of encouragement, an understanding nod, a compassionate hug, a card or letter at just the right moment, a gentle word of reproof, just being there during a difficult time. Our best friends speak our names in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ.
So very true! God is present in all that we see and can't see! Friend are his messengers of love! God bless,Cindy
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Moms the Word! Praying to be a good friend.
ReplyDeleteDear Laura, I sincerely agree with you. We can save a life by a hug, an encourgaing word or a listening ear.
ReplyDeleteGod bless
Indeed, I count my friends very dear to me! How wonderful to mention their name in prayer, and find little things to do for them to make their day. I am certainly thankful for the greatest FRIEND of all who shows us in turn how to be better friends. Hugs to you today Laura :)
ReplyDeleteTrue. This is a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ariella.
ReplyDeleteLaura, there is nothing sweeter than a good friend. I'm constantly convicted that I need to be a better one! I definitely need to pray more consistently. I'm visiting today from Mom's the Word. Blessings!
