Happy Homemaker Monday ~ May 8, 2017

As I write...  Monday Morning

The weather.... Beautiful! Sunny and warm

Right now I am... focusing on worship, praise, prayer and thanksgiving.

Thinking... I'm looking forward to my birthday on Friday. I'm meeting co-op friends at the park to picnic and to let our kids "socialize".  I wonder what this year will bring.

Hey love your neighbor as yourself, right?
A quote to share...
♥♥♥♥♥
“Being in a hurry. Getting to the next thing without fully entering the thing in front of me. I cannot think of a single advantage I've ever gained from being in a hurry. But a thousand broken and missed things, tens of thousands, lie in the wake of all the rushing.... Through all that haste I thought I was making up time. It turns out I was throwing it away.”
― Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are
♥♥♥♥♥
On my reading pile...
  • Bible: Hebrews, James and John's Letters
  • Never Give Up
Don't miss my Spring reading list!
Favorite blog post last week...
Something fun to share...
Blog hopping...
On the menu for this week....
I've not made plans yet. I am excited about cooking for my husband again after his long business trip.
On my to do list...
  • Monday - exterminator, errands, pay bills
  • Tuesday - tests
  • Wednesday - my doctor appointment, church
  • Thursday - son's doctor appointment
  • Friday - my birthday! Park day with co-op friends

In the workbasket... still not really in the mood to stitch this week

Looking forward to this week... my birthday and Mother's Day of course!

Looking around the house... I see unfinished projects. I need to make a list and a plan to get things done this summer.
From the camera...
My Lowell got to enjoy the San Antonio River Walk
before his conference this weekend.
Devotional...   Home Happiness Depends on the Wife

Richard Sohn (1834 – 1912, German)
On my prayer list...
  • Healing for Ellen—She's now in a rehab center!
  • Peace of Jerusalem and Israel
  • Calmness in my spirit
  • Healing in my body
  • Trust in my soul
  • Peace for my children and husband
  • Wisdom for President Trump and our government officials
  • Kristen, Cheryl of Homespun Devotions' niece, is still fighting for her life and for her baby's. She has blood clots in her lungs and heart troubles. She is also feeling very down. Her faith is weak friends. Remember the paralytic whose friends lowered him down through the roof in front of Jesus. Please pray.
Father God, I pray that each reader will know the love of God in a very real and personal way. I ask that Holy Spirit speak, teach, and comfort each reader. Bring salvation and healing through your son Jesus the Christ. I pray that you will be glorified in their lives. I ask all in Jesus' Name.  I plead the blood of Jesus over every reader and their loved ones! Amen.

  1. Happy Monday from the farm here....where things are busy in many ways. Wanted to share our baby ducklings who are beginning to get some white feathers onboard, the first climbing rose in bloom and peonies ready to pop....all done with no help from this old woman farmer....but touched with the hand of the creator. xo

Plans changed. My dad is driving down from Kansas City to take me to lunch, so the kids are going to the picnic on their own.
