Hello everyone!
I was just thinking. Is it not amazing that we can visit, through blogs, with like-minded ladies all over the world? Since my diagnosis, I've heard from ladies from many countries as well as my own United States. Nearly all are praying for me, and many share prayer requests for the difficulties and health trials they or loved ones are facing.

Even though we may gaze up at a different sky and different stars at night, we believers all have the one true God and His Son Jesus Christ. That makes us sisters in the LORD. He is faithful in the good times and the bad times. He's Jehovah Sabaoth. LORD of Hosts. He fights our battles. These are only the skirmishes of life. He was, is, and always will be victorious. We will, too, if we stay close to His side.
Psalm 19 begins, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork." God has had it planned from the beginning of the beginning that we would know Him and worship Him. We all worship something or someone. It's just how we were designed.
Are you worshiping the one true God, creator of the universe, father of Jesus our savior, our redeemer, the one who connects us back to the Father?
It's just something to think about as you gaze up at the sky God has given you.

I cannot imagine walking this road of life without my sweet Savior. He is my everything.
ReplyDeleteEven if we had a less stressful road, it would be stress beyond what I could endure without Jesus. He is all that truly matters. Our troubles may be facts, but His Word is TRUTH!
DeleteMy dear friend Laura, what a beautiful message you leave us today!
ReplyDeleteSince life took me to your home (a long time ago) you have always impressed me with your kindness and your way of seeing life and things. You are an impressive, simple and wise woman, and your face shows the goodness of your soul.
That is why many people follow you because the wisdom you have reaches us deep into the soul.
A thousand blessings for you, dear Laura.
Dolores
Oh Dolores, that may be the most wonderful blessing I've read. Hugs to you!

The world has become so small. It is amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt truly is amazing Cheryl!
DeleteLaura, thank you. It is so easily forgotten that no matter where you are, in what time zone, whatever your personal belief system, we are all in this together.
ReplyDeleteYour faith and courage through this cancer battle is an inspiration not only to me, but to everyone who reads your blog.
You have kept the faith, you have fought the good fight. But most of all, it has been a reminder that whatever trials, illness, any problem can be handled with grace. You have smiled and gotten through with a grace and perseverance that I can only hope to copy.
As always, your in my prayers, stay in your peaceful place, but above all, God bless you! Laurie
Yes, Laurie we are in this together. The most important thing is that we love the LORD GOD with all our hearts, minds, souls, and strength, and love our neighbors like ourselves. I love that Jesus summed up all the law in such a simple way.
DeleteI'm glad that sharing my story is helping others in any way.
I've smiled, I've cried, I've been strong, I've been weak. I've even been fussy at times. God is good through it all. He is strong when I'm weak. I depend heavily on Him. Your reminders to stay in my peaceful place, and all the times you've written to exhort or encourage or even scold me when I am overdoing have helped me immensely. The LORD is using you to minister to me.
Thank you!
God bless you friend,
Laura
I am so thankful to have the Lord Jesus by my side as I travel through life. I'm also thankful for believing friends who lift me before the throne. One particular friend and I have been praying together for over 20 years, most of that over the phone, since we live far from each other now. Little did we know when God brought us together in friendship all those years ago, that he did it for "such a time as this." We are both facing similar struggles with prodigals, so we really understand the feelings the other faces.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,
Patti
Oh Patti, what a treasure to have a prayer friend for so long! I, too, have a prodigal. Recently, I realized that it's how we end that matters most. I most likely will not live to see how my children end. I must pray for them, not fret so much now, and trust that Jesus will do what He does best—seek and save the lost.
DeleteHugs, saying a prayer for your prodigal and your friend's, too.
Laura
What a wonderful post.. And so amazing and wonderful to know our Lord is there for us.. And all the prayers from our sisters in Christ..awesome!!
ReplyDeleteHope your healing and getting better and better..
Hello Judy dear,
DeleteI think that one of the most amazing experiences in my life was after a planetarium presentation. I was talking with the man who presented afterwards. I told him I wish I knew what the southern sky looked like. He set up the projector and gave me a mini-presentation right then! Amazing! I had tears in my eyes to see something I'd likely never see again.
God bless you, I feel better little by little.

"We all worship something or someone. It's just how we were designed."
ReplyDeleteI believe this too, Laura. We worship all the time. We can choose what. We can turn our gaze upon something else. But we can't stop it.
Thank you Laura.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. Have a good weekend.
DeleteI sense His presence when I look at the sky, watch the birds, the flowers grow, etc. As I watched my flower seeds sprout this past week, I was thinking "how can people not believe in God?" He is so good! Love this post!
ReplyDeleteI almost think that it must be a deliberate choice. If we slow down and look, his fingerprints are everywhere.
DeleteGod bless you Laura.
ReplyDeleteThank you! May God bless you and meet your every need!
DeleteLaura, my husband just got a diagnosis recently and had a port implanted yesterday. He starts chemo and radiation right away, with surgery once the C & R has worked its magic. Makes you realize how precious life really is. Bless you today. Your success through treatment gives me courage.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Sugar, I am so very sorry to read this news. BUT GOD! May I suggest you go back and read the post on my blog about the diagnosis? Maybe my battle plan may give you two a few ideas for your battle. Most of all, remember God is Jehovah Sabaoth. Lord of Hosts, the Commander in Chief of the battle. He will fight this battle for you, but you two will be fighting all the skirmishes. Keep your eyes and thoughts focused on Him as much as you can. I am assuming in this that you both love Jesus. He will get you through this. Hugs to you, Laura P.S. Contact me directly anytime you want to talk. If you'd like my phone number, just respond back directly. I'm happy to talk with you and pray, too.

It made my day extra colorful and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour writing is such a blessing to my heart, as is our sisterhood friendship in the Lord. Bless you Laura
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear and sweet post my friend. I pray for you many times a day and love you as a sister.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good post. :) I love ya!
