Hello friends,
I wanted to jot you a quick note this morning. My season of homeschooling has come to an end. I graduated my last daughter Amy in January. I've spent the last month praying about what God wants me to do next. I recognize this as my year for redefining Laura.
I have accepted a position as a part-time secretary for a local chiropractor. He was homeschooled, so I expect he will understand as I transition into the position. After all, twenty-nine years is a long time to be out of the work place. Oh, I've worked during that time, but it has always been working for my husband in his business or helping him in other ways. My husband came to me with this position and the possibility. I felt like it was God's leading for this season.
So, hi ho hi ho, it's off to work I go. I'll write to you later.
Be blessed y'all!
Hugs,
Laura

Life Changes... A New Season
I'm a Jesus loving, breast cancer surviving, retired homeschooling mom of four and wife to my high school sweetheart for 38 years...doing what I can with what I've got where I am
on a short shoestring budget!

DeleteCongratulations on the new job, Laura! I remember when our last one was done. I hadn't worked outside the home in over a quarter of a century and I was like...now what am I going to do? The job at Prairie has allowed me to keep teaching and has gone a long way towards fulfilling our dream of debt-freedom, as well as being the means of allowing us to do many things that we wouldn't have been able to do otherwise, so I am thankful. I pray that this job proves to be a means of many blessings for you and yours and that you enjoy it! Blessings, my friend! <3
