Harvest Lane Cottage Fall Reading List 2020

I've a rather long reading list for fall this year. Why? Well, I've only read 38 books for my Goodreads Challenge. My goal is 50. I need to read 12 more books this year. So, even one book a week is not enough. I expect that I will add in some audio books on Scribd. Most of the books below are e-books or real hold in your hands books. I've already begun several of these books. I usually have six to eight books going at a time. I know that there will be two more book club selections this year. I also know that I love love love Christmas books. ~smile~ So, this is a for now Fall Reading List. I do expect to it will change if something else catches my eye. Whatever I don't finish will be carried over or added to a future list. Fifty books a year was easy when I was homeschooling. Now that I'm working part-time, I don't have as much free time to read! In fact, many of the books I "read" will actually be listened to on Scribd. My Kindle also has a book or two on it.

I've included Amazon affiliate links at the bottom of the page. You can also find some of these books on Scribd. See the bottom of the page to see how you can read or listen for free for two months.

The Christmas Swap by Melody Carlson Finished!

Midnight Clear by Dallas Jenkins  Finished!

An Ivy Hill Christmas by Julie Klassen Finished!

Persian Betrayal by Terry Brennan Finished!

Little House Living by Merissa A. Alink Finished!

Mother Culture by Karen Andreola Finished!

The Vintage Housekeeper's Circle by Alison May Finished!

Food in Jars: Preserving in Small Batches Year-Round by Marisa McClellan I had to return this one to the library before I finished it. I will probably buy it next year.

The Christmas Shoes by Donna VanLiere Finished!

The Christmas Hope by Donna VanLiere  Finished!

Ottoman Domain by Terry Brennan

Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder

I'm currently listening to The Message out of curiosity. I've not read it before. I usually use the King James or New King James Bible. I'm trying to finish the New Testament by the end of the year. Finished!

P.S  I highly recommend using Scribd. You get unlimited ebooks and audio books plus other reading materials for just one low price. $8.99 a month. You don't have to pay per book. It's all included in the one price. It's the best money I've spent this year!

If you use my link, you'll get a 2 month free trial of Scribd, and I will get a free month as well. I'm not an affiliate, it's just a neat perk that they have for their subscribers who tell their friends. I've earned 180 free days just sharing how much I love their service! You can too.

  2. That's quite a list. I am still working on 2 books I began just before canning started up - oh boy. Think I'm finished there so should be able to get back to the pages soon.

  3. Hello! Based on titles alone, your list sounds cozy and charming. I will look through them at some point. I have been reading the NASB since I was 13 when it was given to me as a gift, but I have often wondered if another translation would serve me better. Haven't done any research on that but I'm sure at some point, I will.

    1. Hi Karen, I do not recommend The Message, but it has been interesting. It reads more like a story to me. But God can use it. May God bless you and keep you. Thank you so very much for writing to me.Sincerely,Laura Lane
