Summer's a season filled with things to love and hate. Love... swimming, fresh veggies from the garden or farmer's market, fireworks on the fourth of July, a lazy afternoon with a good book. Hate... heat, bugs, mosquito bites, dewy complexions—ehem. Still, there's a lot to be said for summertime. Let's carpe diem... seize the day and make the best of this season... and praise God for air conditioning if you have it!

What are you planning to do this summer?
ஐღLauraღஐ
...doing what I can with what I've got
where I am on a short shoestring budget!
~~~~~
As little as required (smiling and giggling)--I am not a summer person, Laura...oh, we will do bbq's, make the occasional ice cream run around the corner and so on...with a busy semester going to start in late August, I just want to be a lazy mcdaisy. smiles
ReplyDeleteHave a joyful rest of the week, as always, enjoyed your post.
Lazy McDaisy sounds fabulous to me Linda!
DeleteWorking on writing, going to a workshop at Highlights Foundation. ;) Thanks for stopping by the #LMMLinkup.
ReplyDeleteWe are planning a short trip up north to a place called Mackinac Island...you know I just love this list! September is a great time for a garage sale too-maybe you will get customers who are looking for back to school bargains. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYou need to get on that list! I want some watermelon. Meant to stop and get one today but it was too hot! I'll tomorrow early since i don't work! Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteBTW can you come by and give me the link for your pantry Salsa. I tried to find it the other day and couldn't.
Thanks (insert smile)
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for commenting on my 4th of July decorations post via google. Blogger or Google or one of them has been messing with my mind. I figured something was up. I have been getting no comments. I have no idea how to change it! It's so frustrating. If you know anything please let me know. You have my email
ReplyDeleteSlegan@yahoo.com BTW I did find your salsa recipe I am making it tonight!
I'm busy as co-chair for my 50th high school reunion - I'm in charge of decorations.
ReplyDeleteBut, when I was a teacher, I always had a long, fun summer project list.
Good luck with your list and thanks for sharing with SYC.
50th reunion! How cool is that? You've got such lovely decorating skills, I'm sure it will be fabulous!
DeleteEnjoy!
Reading your list was like taking a trip back in time. such lovely, simple, old-fashioned pleasures you have scheduled.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a drive-in movie in over 3 decades. I have fond memories of going to them as a kid, but I haven't lived anywhere near a drive-in theater since about 1980.
Enjoy!
Love,
Patti
I live on Rt 66, and one of the benefits is our movie theater. If you're ever in southwest Missouri....
DeleteLove your list!
ReplyDeleteSo many of the same things here...
I might add eat corn on the cob and snuggle on rainy afternoons. : )
I am also looking forward to first grade homeschool planning!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sounds great Billie Jo!
DeleteMuch more to love about summer than to hate! :) Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
What a super idea - a summer bucket list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda Ann.
DeleteI've never made summer bucket list. Your list reminds me - I haven't seen any fireflies this summer.
