Don't get all wrapped up in Christmas preparations and miss the rest of this lovely, beautiful, spectacular autumn season. I love the golden tones of November... the cool and sometimes cold nights... the rainy days. The nesting instinct that comes with cooler weather and thoughts of winter on its way.
After I help my scholars with their studies today, I'll be heading to the bedroom to do a little sewing. Part of what I love about Novembery days is the draw I feel to sew and knit and crochet. I've a little cd player in my room. I'll be listening to 1 and 2 Corinthians as I work. If I tarry long enough, I'll listen right through the Bible. ~smile~
How do you love to capture these Novembery days?
Blessings from Harvest Lane Cottage!

Laura,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am always challenged when the seasons are rushed by...I am thankful for the blessing hidden within each day. Glad I found you as my neighbor at the Wise Women Builds Her Home Link up.
Peace and good to you.
I have to agree. I love Fall and all of its colors. I'm so not ready for Christmas, just yet.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!!! Happy Thanksgiving friend!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree - take time to appreciate Autumn and the season of thankfulness! I enjoy doing extra baking throughout the fall with a particular focus on pumpkin and apple type recipes. I love the switch over to my cool weather clothing because it's a part of my wardrobe I haven't seen in a while and feels almost new again, LOL! I'm visiting from the Weekend Whatever linkup!!
ReplyDeleteThis was a sweet post. I like Novembery days too!! I'll be going out just as soon as I am done with the laundry today...and while I am out, I will enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up over at WholeHearted Home this week.
I too love November! Christmas decorating generally starts the day after Thanksgiving here at the Olson home. I get in the mood to sew, craft, and do a bit of cleaning before pulling out Christmas décor. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Hi Jann,
ReplyDeleteBecause of my mother-in-love's passing a few days ago, I'm not sure how quickly I'll be changing decorations. I'm a bit distracted. It will be good to change everything up.
Blessings,
Laura
