Thoughts About Children

"I think a lot of our problems are because people don’t listen to our children. It is not always easy. They’re not always so brilliant that you want to spend hours with them. But it is very important to listen to them." ~Barbara Bush

"Education commences at the mother’s knee, and every word spoken within the hearing of little children tends towards the formation of character."
~ Hosea Ballou

"Don’t worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you."
~ Robert Fulghum

  1. Great thoughts about children! I often think about how important it is to listen to our children, and to realize that they watch us closely. It's a nerve-wracking thought, but by the grace of God, we can be good examples for our children!

    Thanks for the good post!

  2. Hi Lisa,

You're right. Rearing children is an incredible experience, but it can be difficult. Being a good example is sometimes the hardest part! I'll be over for a visit in a bit. Thanks for talking back!

  3. Yes the watching bit is very important, we have to be aware of little eyes and ears. Thanks for sharing at Good Morning Mondays. Blessings
