How do your mornings begin? Rush rush rush? Slow and easy? However they begin, take some time to open your Bible and speak to God. The rest of your day will be better for it. You'll be better for it. Have a terrific day!
Hi Laura, It's nice to meet you. I followed your link from Kates. I start my conversation with Jesus before I even get out of bed, and it truly does make my day better. Blessings!!
That is such a beautiful picture. I love mornings...in the quiet of the morning is a perfect time to reflect upon God and His goodness. It is my favorite time of the day. :)Hope
I usually get up, get a cup of coffee going and do a bible study before the kiddos get up. That's my quiet time to really listen and to study the Word. You're right, if I get the Word in me first thing, I seem to have a much better day than if I rush around and not have time with the Lord. He knows our needs each and every day. I've been reading up a lot on the Grace. It's just so beautiful to have.... things go much smoother with his Grace!
I have a daughter named Amy. I'm sure you know that it means beloved. I also have a daughter named Emily Anne. Anne means full of grace. It's wonderful to see the grace developing in all our lives. Extending it to others can be as difficult as accepting it from God. ~smile~

I am learning that it is the utmost to stay in His Word firstly, Drink tea, while praying:) Have coffee with breakfast and thank you Jesus, I have been privileged and Blessed to be at Home Keeper. Loved this reminder! Roxy xo
I needed to remind myself. I'm listening to Isaiah on YouVersion this week. I've been through it enough times now, it's beginning to come alive to me. I know that I need to saturate myself in the Word this year.
Wise advice. My mornings start out in a rush most of the mornings I'm afraid, but I try to have time with God each morning before the busy-ness of the day engulfs me.

This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
Hello my dear readers and friends, You've no doubt noticed a change in my blog over the last few weeks and seen hints of health troubles and tests. This is the post I've been avoiding. I just haven't been ready to identify with the problem nor am I sure I want to now. After all, God is the God of miracles. I need miracles, I'll bet you do, too. Here goes. I found a lump on April 22nd. It's been an earth shaker to me and my family for the last few weeks. This was the cause of the exhausting rounds of tests and appointments. Yes. It is breast cancer. It's in all the lumps in my left breast and in a lymph node. My mother and maternal aunt both had breast cancer many years ago. To answer a few questions you might have: The CT scan showed no cancer in the rest of my body. Praise God! The oncologist scheduled me for chemo first because it is an aggressive cancer. They want to shrink it first before surgery. I will also have mas...
Just had to share this with you again. My recipe was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas! I have to admit, I was truly surprised when I received a letter from Gooseberry Patch requesting permission to use my recipe in their newest Christmas cookbook. I've sent in some more complicated recipes, but this one is easy peasy! It's truly a recipe that I threw together using items from my nearly bare kitchen cupboards last winter. I called it Spicy Can Opener Soup. They changed the name, but the ingredients remain the same. I was thrilled to receive my very own copy of the book . Of course, I had to make it up and take some photos to share with you dear ladies. It's simple, quick, and delicious. It's also one of those scrape the bowl clean recipes. It's just this simple. Spicy Can Opener Soup 1 can black beans 1 can Mexican corn with peppers 1 can Rotel type tomatoes w/chiles 1 package of Taco Seasoning Mix and simm...
I'm a big city girl gone small town girl gone country and finally gone back to small town. I live in southern Missouri between Oz and the Ozarks. I have four children. My daughters live at home. My twenty-four year old daughter is finishing her master's degree through online university, and my 20 year old daughter goes to Christian college. My sons live on their own nearby. The 22 year old son and my 31 year old sons live nearby. I homeschooled all of my children from the beginning through high school. My eldest son went to high school for a year and a half. I met my Jesus when I was fifteen, and my life has never been the same. I married my high school sweetheart almost thirty-six years ago. We started going steady my senior year of high school. You might say we're going steady permanently. ~smile~ We have a very big yellow tabby cat, Tiger. Think Garfield with a good attitude. He is actually bigger than our little Doxie mix, Penny. I enjoy writing, knit...

My morning always begins with coffee and "Good Morning God." Got in that habit a long time ago. I definitely need to spend more time with the Bible.
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago I started reading and listening through the Bible with You Version and Bible Gateway. I really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you Stacey!

ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Deb. Whenever it works, it works!
