My Day Book ~ November 1, 2015

Read other daybooks.
 My Daybook
November 1, 2015

Outside my window... It's sunny with just a few puffy clouds skattered about. It's a welcome change after some of the drizzly weather we've had this past week.

I am thinking... about the many things that must be done this month.

I am thankful that... We are never alone. God is always with us just waiting for us to pay attention to Him.

From the kitchen... It's so busy this week. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep up.

I am wearing... my tan dress with roses along with my black CROCS.

I am creating...  Nothing right now. I need to think about the gifts I want make to during my Kringling sessions this month.

I am going... to work with my husband a lot this week. I'll also be driving everyone to appointments, classes, and work. I'll probably go to the grocery store, too.

I am reading... I am reading Trim Healthy Mama Plan.

I am hoping... to begin implementing the strategies Pearl Barrett and Serene Allison share in the book.

I am learning... about how to separate my fuels so that my body will burn more efficiently.

I am planning... a  homeschool moms get together next week.

am hearing... my children just got home from the movie rental store, so it just got loud! Three teens who just woke up their papa.

Around the house...
  • I want to check my Fall tote and see if I can find my fall glasses.
  • See if there are any more fall decorations I want to use or discard.
  • I need to get out the cold weather clothes.
  • I need to declutter more things to give away.
  • Laundry beckons as it always does.
One of my favorite things...  the crunch of leaves underfoot.

A Favorite Quote for Today...

A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week...
  • Lots of working at the restaurant
  • Church on Wednesday
  • Homeschool Group on Friday
  • I'm going to choose something from my Fall Bucket List to do this week.

  1. Hello Laura,

I love this time of the year with the best holidays approaching. I have hung white lights in my front windows, which make my living room and kitchen/dinning room so cozy.

I am happy for you that you had a bit of sunshine. We, on the other had are delighted because we had rain! It is also supposed to rain today! What a blessing the rain is.

I hope your healthy mama book works well for you. I have never heard of that book, but I have been working on eating carbs separately from protein and fats for the last 10 weeks and have lost about 20 pounds. That is not my final goal, but I am so delighted even with that change. I will be starting my next set of 10 weeks, which will run through the holidays into January.

I just started following you on Pinterest. Boy, you have a lot of people following your boards! I am interested in looking over the details and seeing all that you have collected there.

    Have a wonderful Monday!
    :) Hope

  2. Hello Hope,
I was thrilled to find your note in my inbox this morning. It's always wonderful when readers take time to write back, isn't it?

Congratulations on your weight loss. It's not easy, but I know it will be worth it.

I'm going to come visit you at your blog this morning. I hope you get all the rain your areas needs.

    Light a candle and enjoy!

    Sincerely,
    Laura

I am busy this morning with housework and already did a free 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone on YouTube. She has some great workouts there.

  5. Thanks for sharing your Simple Woman's Daybook post today! I love the quote from Little House on the Prairie and the image is so colorful. I also love the idea of an "Autumn Bucket List"; so much better than waiting 'til over 50 or 60 - as I am! - and I do have that list, I call it "things I want to do now that I am 50+ or 60+"...

  8. I've enjoyed your daybook today. I'm going to have to look into the Trim Healthy Mama plan - I didn't know it made a difference about eating different kind of fuels at different times. Sounds interesting!

Love the idea of a Fall Bucket list!

  9. Hello! I'm visiting from the Daybook. Such a nice quote. It reminds me of my childhood reading. Laura Ingalls Wilder lived in Minnesoa at one time. I visited her dugout on the banks of Plum Creek, newr Walnut Grove, MN. I checked out your three tips for making Thanksgiving and Christmas easier. Very helpful! Have a great week!

  11. Good morning Laura! It sounds as though you're busy, but doesn't it always? I love the quote and it's so true.
It's very quiet here with my guys gone, it's almost too quiet! Haha! I've been doing a little bit of Decluttering, cleaned and sorted out my closet, did some laundry ( and I'm actually caught up) well at least until they get home. Lol. I've done a little baking, went and visited a few friends and been hanging out with Roxy. I think we're going clothes shopping today. I hope God blesses me with some new black pants.
    Enjoy your day!
    Hugs, Amy

  15. You're caught up Amy? Are you sure you want to let the guys come home with more laundry? Just kidding. Hope you're having a good time.
    Blessings,
    Laura
Father God, I pray that you will keep Amy's guys safe as they are enjoying your creation and trying to fill the freezer. Amen.

  19. Hi Jann,
I have had good results with the generic of Airborne combined with Cold-Eze lozenges. They actually cut my cold symptoms dramatically. Get well soon in JESUS' name!
    Blessings,
    Laura
