A Thrifty Week at Harvest Lane Cottage #63

Welcome to another thrifty week at Harvest Lane Cottage. I am honored by your visit.  Each week I share my thrifty and frugal projects, ways of saving money, and my blessings from God.

I am so glad you dropped in for a visit today—or tonight!
I have enjoyed meeting so many ladies over the past few weeks.
I love it when y'all leave comments, so I can meet you and see your blogs, too.

Here's my thrifty week:

~ I grocery shopped at Aldi first.

~ We enjoyed two meals of leftovers from the kids' spring banquet Saturday evening.

~ We celebrated Mother's Day and my birthday at home.

~ I carried my water bottle.

~ I Made Super Quick Super Cheap Laundry Detergent

~ I refilled my liquid foaming soap dispensers. I am now using one in the kitchen as well as one in the bathroom. I used dish soap for the kitchen dispenser so that I can put a little on a wet cloth to wash dishes or just wash my hands with it. I used some body wash that I got for Christmas in the bathroom. Put about a half an inch of liquid soap in the bottom, fill the bottle with water until you're about half an inch below the pump, and shake.

~ We used some of the homemade soap I made a few months ago.

Birthday blessings abounded including my first pedicure, gel manicure, facial and haircut, lunch out, dinner out, books, clothes, candles, flowers. I even had a surprise party with friends.

Thank you everyone!

Have a terrific week!

This week is a quiet one here...

  10. And that bird song in the background kind of got me by surprise but it's good. Because it makes me feel like I'm actually in the cottage. :)

  16. It's the little savings that add up to the big savings. We tend to celebrate special occasions at home too. Always sweeter I think.

Thanks for writing me back!
