My Daybook ~ February 4, 2017

Read other daybooks.
 My Daybook
February 4, 2017

Outside my window... It's mostly cloudy and a chilly 43°. No snow...still. We had a very light dusting before Christmas. That's it. I'm longing for snow...praying for it, too.

I am thinking... about how different things are now that my kids are getting older.

I am thankful that... I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

From the kitchen... I'm thinking about making some cookies or cupcakes for tomorrow.

I am wearing... my peach striped top my denim skirt, my crocs and thinking about putting on my purple jacket. It's cold by the window.

I am creating... I've been making dish scrubbies.

I am going... probably to the grocery store.

I am reading... I am reading Control Girl, Grow in Peace, and 31 Verses to Write on Your Heart.

I am hoping... to finally stay on plan with Trim Healthy Mama.

I am learning... about how to separate my fuels so that my body will burn more efficiently.

I am planning... a menu for the week.

am hearing... nothing but the hum of the computer.

Around the house...
  • I need to declutter more things to give away.
  • Laundry beckons as it always does.
  • I need to prep for tomorrow's lunch guest.
One of my favorite things...  working on my school paperwork at McDonald's while sipping an unsweet iced tea.

A Favorite Quote for Today... I just came across this. I need to work on it.

“Happiness is not a feeling, it is a choice. To be happy, one must choose to be happy, not respond to a circumstance that now controls your happiness.” ― Joyce Meyer

A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week...
  • Church
  • Homeschool moms' meeting
  • Homeschool Group on Friday
  • Preparing for Valentine's Day
  • I'm going to choose something from my Winter Bucket List to do this week.

From the Board Room...

Now go check out the other Day Book entries at our hostess Peggy's blog, The Simple Woman.

    1. Ah Judy, that's the best bird story I've heard yet! I had one lady whose cat went bananas. I offered to remove it, but she liked it!

  2. Haha Judy!! I did the same thing!! And my doggy came running in here barking his head off. Oh, what a laugh that gave me when I figured it out!!! The pup doesn't react anymore. I guess he figures the birds live here now!

Love the day book. Let's see. My mini one...
***Outside my window..... the sun is shining and it feels like early spring, even though that's a ways off!
***I am creating...lots of things at once right now! I just finished watercoloring little love bugs for my Valentine cards, embroidering veggies on flour sack towels for Christmas, & planning what to paint on my barn quilt for the KS State Fair this year. <----my first time, I'm very excited and nervous!
***I am hoping....that my body will be back to normal soon from my bout with pneumonia. I'm so weak and I tire so quickly.
