Super Simple Chicken Soup

Super Simple Chicken Soup

Mix in a little crock pot:
approx 2 cups shredded baked chicken (or any kind or amount you like)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 bag of mixed frozen veggies
hot water to cover the chicken and veggies
salt and pepper

Let it cook for a few hours until hot. Then mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with a couple tablespoons of cold water until lumps are gone. Stir it into the hot soup and allow it to thicken before serving.

That's it! It makes about 4 servings. I like to make lunch soups in my little slow cooker since it's a great way to use up leftovers. I'm so glad my family loves soup! This is a great do with whatcha got soup.

  3. Thank you, this sounds delicious and so easy. We don’t eat often but I like to order cream soups when we do. This would be a great alternative to satisfy my cravings.

  8. We love simple meals, too. Soup and bread is a favorite! Am so glad to be back into comfort food weather! We're expecting snow tonight and could get a substantial amount (3 or more inches). Stay warm, my friend, and blessings for a great week ahead! <3

  11. This really sounds good! I will use my home canned chicken in it. I make a "soup of the week" weekly to enjoy as lunch, so am going to give this and your taco soup a try.

  12. We like soup very much here, too. The Man-of-the-House taught me to like all kinds of soups with his big appreciation for it. The only soup I've made that he was hesitant to try was asparagus. The olives in it were weird. I never made that California recipe again.
