Weekend Reading September 11

Hello ladies,

It's feeling rather fallish this week. I do love fall, autumn, harvest time, whatever you like to call it. The crisp cool air just makes me want to cozy up, make a warm drink and read or knit while I listen to a great book. I'll be sharing my fall reading list very soon. I'm currently reading eight ~gasp~ books and knitting four socks. I need to focus! You'll see a book review coming in the next few days for Biblical Minimalism by Cheryl Smith of Cheryl Smith Ministries. There were some eye opening passages in that book.

For now, I'll share a few blog posts that caught my attention this week. I'll catch up with you soon.

Want to Knit Some Mittens for Your Little Kittens for Christmas? by me

I hope you find something you like. A few years ago I used the mitten tutorial above to knit mittens for my three little kittens. It was one of the most rewarding Christmas gift projects I've ever done. Start now! There's time.

Be blessed y'all!

Focus on the good. It's all around us.

  1. I can’t wait for autumn 🍂. We are smothered in smoke at the moment. I’m still working on my very 1st sock, but someday I’ll make it to mittens 💕

    1. Autumn will be wonderful. God bless you! It sounds so frightening to be smothered in smoke. Are you in danger of fire?

  2. I ready for fall. We still have summer temps but we have had a break for a few days but we are supposed to get hot again. This weekend I will be sewing. I cut out a jumper a little bit ago and I will see it tomorrow. I love that September is National Sewing Month!😊
    Well enjoy your reading

    1. Oh dear Regina! I forgot about September being National Sewing Month. I had planned on sewing every day. Oh well. I just need to get back to sewing. I got worn out with making masks a few months ago and haven't sewn since. I was doing well with sewing regularly prior to that. Blessings, I hope you get your sewing finished.Laura

  4. We have stocked the store cupboard and the fuel, peat, logs kindling and such. So are feeling quite good about the change of season and the falling temperatures.
