A Slight Delay...

 


I've had a slight delay in cleaning and organizing my sewing room. 

I've hurt my back, and bending is hurting a lot. 
I went to the chiropractor this afternoon, and I'll go back again in the morning. 
I've had some relief. 
Thank you Jesus!

Regardless of whether I get the cleaning and organizing done, 
I will start sewing Monday.
I'll just clean up as I go.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
I'll be taking a day trip with my husband to celebrate 39 years of marriage on Saturday.

Hello my dear readers and friends, You've no doubt noticed a change in my blog over the last few weeks and seen hints of health troubles and tests. This is the post I've been avoiding. My Spicy Can Opener Soup was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas!

Just had to share this with you again.   My recipe was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas! I have to admit, I was truly surprised when I received a letter from Gooseberry Patch requesting permission to use my recipe in their newest Christmas cookbook.  I've sent in some more complicated recipes, but this one is easy peasy! It's truly a recipe that I threw together using items from my nearly bare kitchen cupboards last winter. I called it Spicy Can Opener Soup.  They changed the name, but the ingredients remain the same.   I was thrilled to receive my very own copy of the book .  Of course, I had to make it up and take some photos to share with you dear ladies. Just Who is Laura of Harvest Lane Cottage?

I'm a big city girl gone small town girl gone country and finally gone back to small town. I live in southern Missouri between Oz and the Ozarks.  I have four children. My daughters live at home. My twenty-four year old daughter is finishing her master's degree through online university, and my 20 year old daughter goes to Christian college. My sons live on their own nearby. The 22 year old son and my 31 year old sons live nearby. I homeschooled all of my children from the beginning through high school. My eldest son went to high school for a year and a half.
