Pasta Salad with Shrimp
~ A Lane Family Favorite ~
16 oz macaroni (or amount for your family size)
1 green pepper
1 package or head of broccoli, cut in small pieces
1 chopped onion or green onion slices
1 tomato, chopped
16 oz of tiny frozen shrimp, thawed (I've also used imitation crab meat.)
A bottle of Kraft House Italian dressing
Lots of grated Parmesan Cheese, I use Kraft.
I boil a box of macaroni in whatever shape and amount that I fancy. I usually make 16 oz because there are 6 of us. You can use whatever size is appropriate for your family. Rinse the pasta in cold water, drain, and refrigerate.
Cut or chop all your veggies.
Rinse your shrimp in a colander under cold water and drain well.
Mix together equal parts of the dressing and Miracle Whip. We use a lot because we really like our salad creamy. Add salt & pepper and lots of grated Parmesan cheese to your taste.
Now, mix it all together and let it chill for a few hours.
My kids and husband absolutely love this.
