Change, Shaking, and Trusting Jesus

No one can provide Internet service to our house even though it's just 2 miles out of town! It's satellite or nothing. So, since satellite is so expensive, it's nothing for now. I'll just use the Internet when I can get to the library once in awhile. I'm not going to give up blogging; I will just have to change how I do it.

There are so many changes in our life right now. Our life is being shaken up. The only things that will remain are the things that are really important. We've got to make sure our focus is on the Lord Jesus so that the things that remain are those that are God things. I think this journey is taking us into uncharted territory. We are truly living by faith for every need that we have.

When the resources that you have of your own are gone, that's what you do. There's really not any other choice. Well, I guess there's kicking and fussing. I did my share of that a few years ago when we lost our business. I am not really upset about all of this. I am confused about what the Lord is trying to teach us through all of this hardship. Perhaps it is to lean more on Him and to trust Him more.

Trusting,
Laura

  1. Laura, if anyone can make it thru a hardship, it has to be you! Your faith is awesome! Have you tried Earthlink? And there's another one that is cheap too.

  2. Laura,
    Your words are always what I need to hear. We are going thru some squeezing right now, but I know God is in control. Thanks for reminding me of that. I love to read your blog and always look forward to hearing what God is doing in your life. Keep up the good work.

  3. "Alone, I sometimes pause and say,
    "You're in my loving thoughts today."
    It seems there's no one there, and yet
    I speak to those I can't forget;
    Lest, being gone, they do not know
    I think of them, and want them so!

    I've always made it a habit, that . . . whenever a person's name pops into my head, I immediately say a little prayer for them. I don't know if it helps or not, but I reckon everyone can use a little prayer once in a while, and if the spirit is in tune enough to prompt me to think of them . . . then my heart must be in tune enough to speak a few words on their behalf."

    Hope you don't mind I found that over at ayearfromoakcottage - but it really fits. Just letting you know you often come to my mind which means you are often being prayed for.

    love and hugs,

Thanks for writing me back!

This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
