My Christmas Bucket List 2016

Have you got lots to do this Christmas season? Me too! I've still got shopping, making, cooking, and baking along with visiting with friends and family. Still... there are things I just love to do during the Christmas season. Actually, I like to do a lot of them all winter long. Here are some of the things I'd like to do this month.

  • Write my Christmas bucket list
  • Make or buy a tree ornament for each child
  • Sing Christmas carols
  • Put up the tree
  • Decorate the house
  • Christmas parade
  • Put lights on the house (Kids took care of it.)
  • Talk to strangers (It's what I do!)
  • Smile and spread good cheer
  • Curl up with a terrific book
  • Go to Journey to Bethlehem
  • Drink hot apple cider
  • Tree decorating party with my husband and kids
  • Drink eggnog
  • Watch Christmas movies
  • Progressive dinner
  • Make homemade wassail
  • Invite friends for soup and bread
  • Make new Christmas decorations
  • Listen to Christmas music
  • Bake Gingerbread Cookies
  • Advent book
  • Christmas baking
  • Costumes for church production
  • Church Bethlehem outreach
  • Gaze into the fire of a candle
  • Sing Christmas carols as I shop
  • Make cocoa
  • Burn fragrant holiday candles
  • Read by tree light
  • Christmas shopping
  • Watch more Christmas movies
  • Christmas gathering with my CHEC moms
  • Pajama Run - Christmas lights
  • Cookie Exchange Party
  • Worship Jesus Done, but I couldn't bring myself to cross it out!
  • Bake Christmas cookies with my kids
  • Read Christmas books
  • Wrap Christmas gifts
  • Christmas Eve service
  • Christmas Day at home

Happy Christmas Season!
Laura

  1. The Journey to Bethlehem looks wonderful. If we were a bit closer, I'd ask hubby to take me.
    Enjoy your December ❤️

    1. We shall see what I get done! Some will get carried over to my winter list, I'm sure. I didn't finish everything on my fall list, but I did far more than I would have if I hadn't been intentional. Be blessed!

  3. I just saw a movie on Hallmark where the main character makes a Christmas bucket list - it was the first time I had heard of such a thing. I loved it! And I love your list :)

So many cozy and lovely things to celebrate this blessed time of year.
I wish it lasted longer, don't you?

    1. I find the same about 'nCrave, Debbie. I don't know. I had to do a few surveys, but they take awhile since I am not qualified for a lot of them. I think it might be either our low income or the fact that I'm not a shopper.

I'm wondering if Bath and Body will give me a card if I take the e-gift card to the store. It would look nicer as a gift. Have you tried it?

May your husband be healed completely in Jesus' Name!

      Hugs,
      Laura

    1. It is busy. Tonight we'll decorate our tree. I'm taking a break, then I have to get the things together for the snack dinner we'll have.

  9. I'm thinking I am going to borrow a few...OK.. A LOT of your ideas and add them to my bucket list. I have one to work on in December, and am making one to complete in 2017. It's nice to have goals and have them written down..makes you feel more accountable I think. Have a blessed week Laura. Sure enjoy your blog, Hugs and God Bless, Karla

    1. Good for you Karla! I hope you enjoy yourself. I break my bucket lists down into seasons. They're more for fun than for things I must do.
Thanks so much for the encouragement Karla. I hope we'll be friends.
      Christmas blessings,

    1. I agree. Time is flying. At times, I feel like I am too! Things should slow down in a few more days.

  11. I don't have a list this Christmas. I'm really done with everything already! We shipped all of our gifts on Saturday morning and that's that. We are really looking forward to just winging it as the mood strikes. We're expecting our first snow tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the pot of soup that will go with it!

    1. Hi Debby,

I'm hoping to see a few flakes today, too, in SW MO. They predict just a sprinkling then rain. Still, I hope to get in the mood to create. I bought some baking supplies yesterday. Rain or snow... it's cookie time!

Blessings for a very relaxed Christ-centered Christmas,
      Laura

  13. Good for you! For some reason, coming into this month exhausted from NaNoWriMo, I have the filling I won't accomplish anything. Hmm. :/ Oh, well! At least I'll have a fun, joyful Christmas with my family. :D
