Every Circumstance Requires a Choice!

we can be above them or below them.
We can look on the dark side or the bright side.

Every circumstance requires a choice.

It's either hopeless or a chance to watch God perform miraculous provision.
It's either a death sentence or a chance to see God's miraculous healing.
It's either a reason to despair or a reason to reach out to someone else who may be lonely, too.
It's either a reason to give in to anxiety or to take every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ.

I choose hope.
I choose faith.
I choose to reach out.
I choose miraculous healing.
I choose miraculous provision.
I choose to take those thoughts captive.
I choose JESUS.

I choose to
keep on the sunny side of life!

Now... when I need it, please remind me friends!

What do you choose?

This old song by the Carter Family
ministered to my heart today.
It's an old recording.
It makes me think of a country family
sitting out on their porch
singing after supper.
It inspired me today.

God bless each one of you dear readers!

Thanks so much for your prayers, cards, notes, and gifts!
For those who have asked, I am happy to give my address, but I would rather not post it on the blog. Just send me an email. My address is in the sidebar.

Enjoy and keep on the sunny side!

Happy at Home

  1. Hello dear friend! I always say, "You don't always have a choice what happens to you in life, but you do have a choice in how you react to it."

  2. Dear Laura, I love your choices. You will continue to be in my thoughts and in my prayers dear sweet friend. Warmest Hugs ♥ Teri

  7. I always say if there was never a reason for a miracle we would never know the mightiness of God. Believing with you!

  8. I always try to see the bright side of things, I'm glad you chose that too. Sometimes it's hard and you'll be down but then you pick yourself up and things can look brighter. You have so many friends praying for you and I hope that helps to give you peace. Hugs, Sandi

    You are amazing! : )

  12. Thinking about you!
    Hoping for good days!
Always nice to see a post from you!
I enjoy the old bluegrass style of music.
The Carter home fold is not a long way from here,
But I have never been there.
The music lives on though, smile.
But the kind of era they represented is very familiar to me.
You never really get above your raising!
Hope you have a lovely rest of the week!

  13. Hi Laura,
I love this post. I'm always glad to see a post from you because it lets me know you are able to "visit". Have a blessed weekend!

  14. One of my favorite songs - it ministers to me, too. You are in my prayers, dear Laura.
    Love and Blessings,

    1. How neat is that GiGi? Not too many remember that old one. Thanks for praying for me.
