My Amy and Me |
Hi everyone,
I wanted to tell you why I've not been writing. As you may know, I finished radiation on March 2nd. What I did not expect is that my skin would continue to burn and get worse for a week or more, and I would be hit with fatigue.
I'm now two weeks past radiation, and I am now feeling a bit better each day. The intensity of pain and burning has lessened a lot. I thank you all who have been praying for me.
I hope to get back to writing in another week or so. I just haven't had the energy to write. I've rested a lot between the must dos of life.
God bless you all! Don't give up on my blog. I'll be back!
Laura

Please give yourself time to recover from the fatigue. It takes time and trying to hurry the recovery time will not help. It took me several weeks to get my energy back. Give yourself time and grace. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way Teddie
ReplyDeleteI continue to pray for you, and I was just thinking when I was praying for you this morning that I hadn't heard from you in a long time. I am so thankful you are getting some relief, and I trust Jesus to heal you completely, my dear friend. God bless you and hold you extra close! Sending love and hugs!

ReplyDeleteDear friend, maybe you do not remember who I am because I've been away for reasons very similar to yours because of my husband's illness.
ReplyDeleteRadiotherapy burns but in a not too distant time it recovers and the skin regenerates favorably.
I wish you a prompt recovery and I want you to know that you are in my time.
Blessings
Dolores

You are a sweetie pie Laura. So glad you are feeling better. I think about you a lot. You take care and rest when you feel like resting. Love, Henny
ReplyDeleteOh My Dear! I forgot to tell you to expect continued reddening and burning in the days/week following radiation. It is awful, I know. The fatigue takes a while to go away, too. Just so you don't panic- the fatigue will most likely get a bit worse before it hits its peak and then will slowly get better....probably 2 to 4 months before you get your energy back depending on how your body processed trauma. Just don't get depressed because it is happening-you will get through it and one day wake up and feel normal again. You are "young", too, so that helps.
ReplyDeleteI am praying you well, Laura!!!! Love to you- xo Diana
Laura, just found your blog site. God Bless You and Keep You Well. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteSweet friend, do not apologize for taking time off from your blog! We will be here when you are able to return and write again. Do take care of yourself, and let yourself heal! You are always in my prayers, as I walked today I called your name to the Lord, and will continue to do so! Believing in prayer with you that the healing will continue and you will feel much better soon. I'm thankful the burning has lessened! Blessings and hugs to you :)
