I'm in Awe!

I am in awe of a Love 
that would choose to suffer so much for another. 

I am in awe of a Love 
that would not answer back to lies and false accusations. 

I am in awe of a Love 
that is so strong, it would not cry out for mercy when brutally struck and beaten over and over. 

I am in awe of a Love 
that would be silent when He could have stopped the torture at any moment. 

I am in awe of a Love 
that would love and ask God's forgiveness for His torturers, mockers, persecutors, and executioners because "they know not what they do."

I am in awe because He is awesome. 

I am in awe because Jesus is God's Son and He is Love.


I thank You God.

I thank You Jesus. 

 There is no way to express the gratitude I feel because I am in awe that You did this for me and for every person who will accept Your death and resurrection as payment for their sins.

I believe! Thank You for doing this so that we might have eternal life.

Amen

    We watched the passion of the christ last night and I sobbed for 40 minutes.
    I read the bible daily, I know Christ suffered for me and died for me. But to see what was done to him,what he endured for someone like me, I will never read he was scorged again and not feel the weight of that in my soul.
    I will do my best to deserve what he paid the price for,oh I will fail because I am human,but I will keep trying till the end. Thank you Jesus.

Hello my dear readers and friends, You've no doubt noticed a change in my blog over the last few weeks and seen hints of health troubles and tests. This is the post I've been avoiding. My Spicy Can Opener Soup was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas!

Just had to share this with you again.   My recipe was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas! I have to admit, I was truly surprised when I received a letter from Gooseberry Patch requesting permission to use my recipe in their newest Christmas cookbook.  I've sent in some more complicated recipes, but this one is easy peasy! It's truly a recipe that I threw together using items from my nearly bare kitchen cupboards last winter. I called it Spicy Can Opener Soup.  They changed the name, but the ingredients remain the same.   I was thrilled to receive my very own copy of the book .  Of course, I had to make it up and take some photos to share with you dear ladies. I'm a big city girl gone small town girl gone country and finally gone back to small town. I live in southern Missouri between Oz and the Ozarks.  I have four children. My daughters live at home. My twenty-four year old daughter is finishing her master's degree through online university, and my 20 year old daughter goes to Christian college. My sons live on their own nearby. The 22 year old son and my 31 year old sons live nearby. I homeschooled all of my children from the beginning through high school. My eldest son went to high school for a year and a half.
