What Do YOU Want?

I'm bumping this post up to give others a chance to respond!

Hello blog friends!

Over the years, I've written about a lot of things. I've written about homeschooling, homemaking, my love for Jesus Christ, God, Holy Spirit, recipes, A Day in the Life type posts, reviews, my cancer fight, and I'm sure any number of other things.

Since I've been at the new house, I have not had internet for my computer. That's made it hard to write, and it has also put blogging the back burner. I'm learning to write on my phone and my husband's laptop now.

It seems like a good time to think about what I'd like to do with the blog. Please help me.

What types of posts do you like to read best? Please answer in the comments and tell me all you're interested in. Think of something else? Add it. I'm trying to determine where I want to go from here.

  2. Hello Laura
I like all these topics especially about homemaking and thrift.
Anymore, I only read “Real” blogs like yours, written by real homemakers and not the ones that seem to be written strictly to make bucks. I don’t mind blogs with ads but I like the content to be about the actual homemakers life. I hope that all makes sense

    1. I know what you mean Rhonda. Blogging has really changed. I've been reading blogs before you could find them easily on the internet!

I dislike blogs with lots of pop-ups and ads that cover content.
      Be blessed dearie!

  4. I enjoy reading a mulititude of things so I would say any of these or all of them. I especially would be interested in decluttering as that is what I am currently attempting to do.

    1. Oh Carol. I need to declutter my garage in the worst way! My husband prefers that I have a yard sale. Maybe in September when it cools off a bit. Thank you for your suggestions.

  5. Perhaps a tutorial on knitting. I crochet but I wouldn't mind giving knitting a try

    Recipes would really be AWESOME

And of course anything faith related.
Actually all of the things you mentioned. I'm done with homeschooling because my youngest daughter graduated this year.

    1. Hi Regina,
I think I can share some more recipes for sure. A knitting tutorial? I'm not sure. I think I've moved on to intermediate, but I don't know how I could do a tutorial without a video. That's something I haven't learned to do yet. Maybe my husband could help me. You've given me something to think about. ~smile~
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll be by later to see your latest writing.

  6. I like to read about everyday lives. I truly believe in the power of prayer. we all can help one another thru blogging. I do not like to read or talk about politics. I do try to be kind and not mean. But don't get me started on computer problems, tv services, , etc. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  8. I think a good thing about blogs is that I get to know people and their lives. I find that interesting so really reading about your daily life, homemaking and any frugal tips is all good.

  9. I love to read about "How To's". I am a DIY as much as I can and I always love learning new things. I love to learn how to make things instead of buying things, including food. I work full time and have no children (God's choice for me & hubby). LOVE household tips and how to do things more efficiently without more time. Hope this helps. I do enjoy your blog. Thanks, Cindy Jane

  15. Laura, when I found you several years ago, my interest was homeaking, or in my case, the lact thereof!
I contacted you, the start of our beautiful friendship. My interests have changed, I can live with our "messy" home, because it is our collectiins and our mess.
Since then, so much in my life changed, some things that can't be undone. My husband's Alzheimer's can't be fixed, I can't fix alot of the family drama that has come into my life.
My kids are long out of school, so the homeschooling was never really high on my list.
Im still loving the recipes, the home diy's, the books etc...😊

My time on the blog now is usually a check in too see how you my friend are feeling, what your reading, sewing, knitting and cooking.
So I'm still here, still checking.
I'm blessed beyond words with our friendship, so anything you post, I'm going to read & enjoy
Love you girl, the Lord Bless and keep you, Laurie

  20. Hi there Laura, Glad you're doing well!!! I am scrolling back through posts as I've been away for a bit. I like it all:-) I like that you are a real person and share what is real in your life. I always like the posts, what's on my mind, what I see, etc. It's just a simple view that is common, but also very comforting. Isn't that funny? Well Dear, I'm going to keep scrolling and see what I've missed.

Thanks for writing me back!
