Sip and Stitch With my Mending Basket...

Every Thursday at Happiness Comes

Oh the bitter irony of it all. I did all my mending a couple of weeks ago. My basket was empty. I wrote about it. I felt great about it. Then, my kids found out my basket was empty. Out came things they hadn't been wearing because they needed mending! Oh my! I started noticing things that needed a stitch or two here or there. Oh my! My mending basket overfloweth! So, for my first Sewing Bee, I'll be stitching and mending my way through my basket. Since I don't have a dedicated block of time today, I'll just pick it up when I sit and listen to the children read. I think I'll enjoy a cup of my favorite Folgers French Vanilla Cappuccino while I stitch.

Keep Calm and Mend On!
May I suggest?
Busy Busy Sewing and Knitting

  1. I think I'd teach the girls how to mend! :) lol

  2. Hi Laura, you won the Sew and Stow book at my blog giveaway! From the looks of your blog here, I think picked the right person!

I'll need you to go to my profile and email me your mailing address so I can get this out to you.

  3. What a pretty blog space you have! Hurray for you mending your way throughout the day! I'm much more likely to repurpose clothing than to mend it...

Hello! I love it when you all talk back!
Your comments have helped me through the hardest time of my life.
Thank you!

I read all the comments I receive. I answer as many as I can.

Right now, I am undergoing radiation treatments, healing from breast cancer surgery on October 20th, and dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy.

I'm having a hard time replying to all the comments. Please understand if I do not answer. This is all new to me.

I treasure your prayers and your comments.

If you have a question, or you need a response, be sure I can reach you by email or subscribe to the comments. I will try to answer each question and request. It just may take me some time.

Be blessed!
