Ummmmm! A Four Letter Word

I'm going through a difficult time right now.  My heart aches.  My feelings want to drown me in despair.  But, in spite of what my heart feels, my eyes see, and what my ears hear, I choose hope.  Hope for the future, hope for the situation, hope for the relationships, hope for a growing trust in and relationship with Christ.  Where else can I turn but to the Lord?

Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You. Psalm 33:21-22

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.Psalm 42:4-6

But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more.Psalm 71:13-15

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.Psalm 119:113-115

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.Romans 15:12-14

If you're having troubles, I encourage you to see the problem solver, Jesus Christ.

  2. Hope is a very powerful 4 letter word! You are so right that where can we turn but to the Lord. He is always there just waiting for us to ask for His help. He gives peace beyond our understanding. What an awesome God we serve!!

Thank you for praying for me! Thank you for encouraging me so much through this cancer treatment. I have the best blog friends in the world! Yes! You!

I read all your comments and respond as I can right now.
Please make sure I have your email if you want me to respond or pray for you. For some reason Blogger isn't notifying me of comments right now, so I may be a bit slower.

God bless you all! This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
