Looking for Tips to Make Perfect Caramel Apples?

Like caramel apples but your caramel doesn't stick?
Gooseberry Patch has shared their tips to make perfect caramel apples at their blog.

Take a Dip  5 New Toppings for Caramel Apples

I like Gala apples best for eating fresh.  They have a crisp, sweet flesh that doesn't bruise as easily as Red Delicious.

Enjoy the season!

  1. Hi Laura!
I would much rather enjoy my caramel apples by making the caramel dip and then dunking my slices of apples in the gooey caramel. I used to love caramel apples when I was younger, but they do havoc on my teeth now. Darn this getting older thing :)

I just love your blog background. Love the colors!

It's been nice and cool here today, I was just thinking about getting out my Fall decorations.

    Have a wonderful week.

  2. The apples look delicious even without the caramel, but yum, caramel!

  3. Hi Lisa,
Yes, caramel is one of my favorites. Have you tried salted caramel? It sounds fabulous, but I've not tried it yet.

  4. Hi Amy,

I've put out about half of my fall decorations. I'm going to wait until next week to put the rest out. I like the little scarecrows and jack-o-lanterns to wait until October.

    Blessings,
    Laura

  6. I love this time of year - autumn! Caramel apples just seem to call out for me when the leaves turn. Thanks for linking these tips! I never thought about the wax on the store bought apples!

  7. I never thought about the wax either, Vickie. Now I understand why my caramel wouldn't go on right. I'm looking forward to trying these tips myself.
