Just had to share this with you again. My recipe was published in Gooseberry Patch Hometown Christmas! I have to admit, I was truly surprised when I received a letter from Gooseberry Patch requesting permission to use my recipe in their newest Christmas cookbook. I've sent in some more complicated recipes, but this one is easy peasy! It's truly a recipe that I threw together using items from my nearly bare kitchen cupboards last winter. I called it Spicy Can Opener Soup. They changed the name, but the ingredients remain the same. I was thrilled to receive my very own copy of the book . Of course, I had to make it up and take some photos to share with you dear ladies. It's simple, quick, and delicious. It's also one of those scrape the bowl clean recipes. It's just this simple. Spicy Can Opener Soup 1 can black beans 1 can Mexican corn with peppers 1 can Rotel type tomatoes w/chiles 1 package of Taco Seasoning Mix and simm...
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteI loved the lights and they speak volumes :) And your Gingerbread man and cookies were wonderful.
May all your days be filled with His joy. Thinking of you this morning!
Merry Christmas!
I am making you something; not sure when I can get it out to you, maybe next year LOL...
Blessings, Roxy
Oh Roxy,
ReplyDeleteYou are just to sweet! Thinking of me when there's so much to do. Thank you.
We are keeping things very simple. Having company in for the funeral, traveling to Kansas City for Thanksgiving, and some major van repairs have zapped our budget, so I've still shopping to do.
I've bought one Christmas present, two stocking stuffers, and my turkey. Amazingly, I do not feel stressed. The things that truly need to get done will get done. Those that don't, oh well!
Happy Christmas Roxy, may your days and nights be peaceful and happy.

I just love your gingerbread snowman and cookies!!! They look amazingly... delicious!
ReplyDeleteI have been baking for days it seems and I have finally got all my cookies platters put together.
I just love to bake and give to others, it just puts joy in my heart.
Now I think I need a salty treat!
I hope you are doing well this holiday season. May the Joy of the Lord carry you through this New Year approaching!
Blessings,
Amy
Hi Amy,
ReplyDeleteSounds like me during a normal Christmas season. Maybe next year.... Everything is scaled way back this year. It's okay. We cannot pretend Grandma's not moved to Heaven. We miss her so much.
Blessings,
Laura
Hi Roxy,
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful. The children just took the lead in putting up the tree and the lights. I needed that. The pain from Mother's death was just too fresh. Christmas is a wonderful healing salve.
Blessings,
Laura
I think doing things as a family is so important at Christmas and always. Thanks for sharing at TTF!
ReplyDeleteYou're very right Linda. We have to enjoy our family while we're together.
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Laura

Hello Hope,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about little ones growing quickly. My son just commented on how little I'm getting. It's not me. It's him. He's now over 6 ft. ~smile~
I'll be over in a bit for a blog visit.
Happy Christmas,
Laura
