"Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness; no laziness; no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today." ~ Lord Chesterfield~ |
Moments get away from us so quickly. If we truly made use of every moment, how different would our lives be? Is it even possible? Do we need to be busy every moment? No. After all, Our LORD is the One who said, "Be still and know that I am God." Rest and refreshment are very important as well. If we are praying, meditating on God's word, worshiping or investing in others by listening and talking, we are still being productive. It's okay to just be.
Just remember, all the time in the world slips by in moments.
Seize the day!
Just Something to Think About
Laura
Indeed, a great reminder to be good stewards of our time, and being careful to give the Lord the best part of our time as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's true, Spicing Up Idaho. It's ironic that my day went in a completely different direction than I had planned. Sweet husband needed help, so I helped. It was sweet to hear him call me helpmeet.
ReplyDeleteTime... it is so valuable. I tend to want to do so much, and there is never enough time. But....we must also enjoy the moments with our families.. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat post and great reminder........
ReplyDeleteWe can be doing all day long, but we
definitely need to have our priorities
in order. Cause good can be the enemy
of best......
and you are so right about being I think the Lord is more interested in
who we are as a person more than what we do, and I know in my life I can certainly forget that at times.
The best spent time is always when
we spend time with HIM, for sure!
Thanks for reminding us, as time is
an important commodity.
Blessings, Nellie
Yes, Miss Nellie,
ReplyDeleteI buried my grandmother this weekend. It made us pause to think about the things in her life remembered and also pause to evaluate our own lives.
Be blessed!
I love this post so much Laura. Thankyou for sharing it at Five Star Frugal. Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Mimi.
ReplyDeleteBefore, I used to be quite busy...running here and there and everywhere. Then Our God took me away from all that by showing me a new way of life. It is really better to slow down and allow Him to guide each and every moment. Thank you so much for sharing...excellent post! mari
ReplyDeleteThanks for talking back Mari. God bless your new path.

ReplyDeleteYou sweetheart! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteTime certainly is too precious to waste! Not to say that we all need a moment or two of quiet time for reflection each day. A big difference between that and idle or laziness! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Have a wonderful week Jann!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great reminder. In the midst of our busyiness, it's hard to hear God's voice. Thanks for sharing at My Flagstaff Home!

ReplyDeleteThanks for "talking back". Do you know that your comments come through to my email as a "no reply blogger"? If you'd like to get direct responses to your comments more often, you might like to know how to change that. I wrote about it in this blog post.

If you're like me, you don't have time to go back and check on other blogs to see if you've gotten a response to your comment. I sometimes can take time to track down commenters, but I'm usually short on time.
